I have Lynch ranked 2nd as well. I just don't buy Doug freaking Martin as the #2 overall fantasy player. I need to see him do it again before getting on that train. Been burned by too many one-year wonders in the past. IMO Lynch has the least question marks of all backs not named Adrian Peterson. So I think he's the safe bet at #2.

Chris Johnson could end up being a top 5 RB but only if he can score enough TDs, which I'm starting to doubt. The yards will be there, 1,500 wouldn't surprise me but with Greene getting goal line, short yardage, probably most of the red zone, and whenever CJ needs a break...that's a lot of carries. If your league rewards a bonus for long TD scores then he's definitely a pick up but he's a high end RB2 for me.

I really like Spiller this year, think he ends up being a top 3 RB.

Dont let Greene scare you away from taking CJ in FF.

Most of his TD's dont come from the redzone or goal line, he's still a 10 TD threat.

Oh no, I still really like CJ but I play in mostly PPR leagues so there is usually someone else I rather have in the 2nd.

No way he should be higher than Foster. And I would put Richardson & Forte ahead of him too. He
Might be a top 3 back or he might have random weeks like last yr where he gets 16 yards the whole game. No one can see the future. I think late 2nd round early 3rd is about right for him in all formats

If you took your first RB in the Third round you're probably not going to have a good year. Unless you have some abnormal scoring method or something.

I got CJ in the 2nd round in my first draft... Round 2, Pick 2 (14th overall).

Titans will likely run the ball 350 times this year. CJ will get 275 of those.

Well, I've won this league 3 years in a row with this draft strategy. It isn't standard scoring but I wouldn't say it's very abnormal. We get .25 for completions and .50 for receptions. Everything else is Yahoo default (aside from QB TDs are set to the original 6 instead of 4).

I just don't buy into the RB/RB draft strategy anymore. In years past it was definitely the way to go but the game has changed. In my recent experience, I've found you're better off grabbing a "can't miss" QB and/or one or two "can't miss" WRs early in the draft.

Also, RB is the most difficult position to forecast IMO. And you always have lesser-known guys coming out of nowhere to become major fantasy players. Basically, I've never had a problem finding more-than-serviceable RBs in the mid-late rounds and free agency. I'll take a WR tandem of Calvin and AJ Green over the likes of Matt Forte and Stevan Ridley any day.

I should say that had I had the #1 pick I obviously would've taken AP. I'm not opposed to going RB in the first. But if I do I want it to be as close to a sure thing as possible. I picked 10th in this league so I didn't see any "sure things" on the board at RB. I was looking at at a choice of two above-average starting RBs or the top 2 WRs on my board. And I still ended up with CJ, Murray, D Richardson, Deangelo, and Mathews at RB. No "slam dunks" but out the 5 I'm sure at least 2 will end up having respectable seasons.
