This is when the rule makes sense. I mean, that guy was the definition of defenseless. But when people started talking about whether Clowney would have been ejected or not for his hit on Vincent Smith, that's what gets people fervorous.

 

Yeah. That's stupid. Who is saying that?

Most Michigan fans give Clowney props on that one and a "sorry pal" to VS.

 

A few of the conference commissioners and conference head of officials. At least two of them said it would be an ejection because of the "when in doubt throw them out" attitude they want. Awful.

 

This is kind of off topic but it seems like a new rule, to me at least..

College football going the way of the NFL soon if they keep that bull**** up.. just impossible to play real defense these days. Give the offense an extra 5 yards, can't touch the QB, can't hit the WRs hard, can't look at the refs wrong.. etc.
