FOKOU (named starter) MLB

Probably right. I'm hoping somebody decent gets cut and we pick them up. We need LB depth.

 

I wish we had some MLB brains. I saw Fokou way out of place on more than occasion and some confusion among all the LB's on coverage responsibilities. I also watched him get steam-rolled up the middle more than once. Almost as if he gambled on the gap before seeing where the RB was.

 

Until crutches gets hurt and we have nothing left.

I'm pulling for him, sometimes guys can get over their injury issues, it's just rare. It would kill me to see him get hurt this year, go to another team next year and then beast it for the rest of his career.

 

We may end up seeing Crutches soon. Ben Tate embarrassed Fokou on that 1st drive with a deadly stiff arm. Tate is no slouch, but Fokou had the angle and blew it allowing Tate to scamper off for a huge gain. And his 9 tackles in 2 games as a MLB is not much.

 

Like I said before last weeks game. If McCarthy is healthy there is no reason he shouldnt be starting. Fokou is a scrub there is a reason he was cut by several teams! JCBRAVE

 

He's not a scrub, he can play, but he's not as good as McCarthy (on McCarthy's best day that is)

 

Agreed but McCarthy was no where near playing shape when we last saw him. It's been 3 weeks since then though, hopefully he's a lot further along.

 

I saw him fighting a guy on kick off, he looks like he's ready to play.

 

I fear McCarthy will be another Chris Sanders. May be for different reasons but it is looking more and more like the best season of his career will be his first.

 

McCarthy needs to start now. Our defense last year was lame but when he was healthy they seemed to be twice as good. The guy has a knack for being around the ball, laying big hits and picking off qbs. All of that can be attributed to his field awareness and football iq. Thats what this D needs is a captain to man the middle of the field. I could see us being the best D in the league with him starting.
