No, no, no... You busted out the rule book. Now lets use it. Johnson definitely saw Pollard going for the tackle for several seconds. He could have easily adjusted himself to minimize the hit or avoid it altogether, but he had to make sure he got both feet in bounds. He was not ruled a defenseless player on the field. This isn't even addressing the fact that he was hit on the shoulder.

Texans players and their fans are completely delusional. They dont think the Jackson hit on Wright was as bad as the Pollard hit. Cushing doesnt even think Jackson should have been fined. Owen Daniel thinks Pollard wasnt fined enough. I get being a homer and all, but this Houston Texan disease is very dangerous thing. Its turns normal people into robotic idiots. They are like stepford fans. Its truly sad.

Semi pro leagues all over the country do this and I've never heard of anyone being sued. Hell players have died on the field and no legal action has been taken. My guess is the NFLPA opposes it or would oppose it if it was suggested. I can't imagine that the league wouldn't be in favor of this kind of waiver.

Football is a violent sport, everyone knows it, and the league is being very arrogant now thinking they can fine and fine and fine. There was a few deaths in HS football this year , one in georgia and one recently too but I forget where and they were killed making form tackles so I don't know what the NFL wants.

Pollard's sentiments echo mine, about the league wanting two hand touch and they can't play defense anymore, he even said just take the defense off the field and see how the ratings are

Bernard must be taking notes on here.

Roger doesnt get laid anymore, you can tell. Might explain all these fines he hands out.

I heard a rumor that Roger uses the fine money on prostitutes.

Bernard Pollard is a friend to the game of football, no DB's hit like he does. Kids everywhere will similar skill-set should model themselves after Pollard.

The NFL should acknowledge this and be happy he brings this level of play to the field. He's helping further the NFL with exciting plays.

I agree, and he does it the right way too because he does try not to go helmet to helmet and all he did was try to finish the play which kids are taught to do all the way through college. The NFL needs to change the way they fine players, its ridiculous.

Pollard is a smart player, he knows what he can get away with, I see him giving a little extra sometimes after the whistle and to me thats actually what you want from your defensive leaders.

Teams know theres a toll you have to pay when you come Pollards way, if fans dont think that matters, theyre fooling themselves.

We are lucky we landed a Bernard Pollard, I hope he wins his appeal because we need that guy to stay the way he is. He says he wont change and is ready for more fines, but as fans its a joke and will upset a lot, so I hope the fines stop coming in, because IMO Pollard is a clean hitting player. No need to steal his money Goodell, shame on you.

Maybe we should take up a "Bernard Pollard fine collection to keep him a badass" fund.
