I want to see him here longer than 1 year and love the attitude he brings to this defense. They look worlds better than last season.

Agreed on the leadership and run stopping end. Still would like to see him and griff improve a bit regarding their chemistry in coverage. (And no more missed tackles a la first two games please)

The improvement of the defense is mostly on Gregg Williams. Jerry Grey can't stop a nosebleed with his precious little 4-man rush.

But I agree about Pollard, if he sustains his decent level of play, he's definitely worth keeping around. His attitude is a plus, but his bite needs to be as strong as his bark!

As long as we keep Greg Williams as well I'm down

Only issue I have with Pollard is that I love his intangibles and leadership almost more than I do his play, he's a physical guy and good tackler but he's pretty bad in coverage.

but yes I want him back

I would re-sign him for sure. Aren't too many non-star free agents who can walk onto a team with a 1 year contract and take over the main leadership role and instill a nastiness and confidence on the defense!!! I understand he's not great in coverage, but the entire D is better with him on this team and I gotta say, the Titans are really making good use of their 3 S look. Might wanna lock up Wilson too!

And I totally agree, we need to keep Gregg Williams at all costs!!! If he can work with Gray, whatever but PAY HIM and keep HIM. Very noticeable difference in defense and the calls and the more exotic looks and blitzes!!! I LIKE IT!!!

Right on. All three starting linebackers have looked killer as a group this year. Secondary play as well, this looks like an entirely different group then last year. Fokou and Pollard have been huge additions. Pollard is a give and take player. He'll get penalties and give up throws, but what he brings to the mentality and the hard hitting, run stuffing safety play is extremely valuable to this squad. I swear Griff is hitting so much harder since Pollard got in there calling him Michelle.

He's on a one year $2M deal so i would offer him a 1 year extension for $3M. $1M SB.

He would likely take that. And then next year at this time if he is still making an impact i would do the same thing. Keep him here in 2014 but also keep him motivated.

His market value is downgraded by this idiot notion that this is a pass only league and big physical SS are not that valuable. .

    I.....agree with RT....

If Pollard still wants to lay the wood and get fined/penalized thats fine. One good hit changes the way the game is played. I will take those all day.

Griffin makes a salary of $6.2M next year.

Wilson makes a salary of $2.0M next year.

So if Pollard's total compensation is $3M that means we are paying $9.2M for our safeties. At the level they are playing i think that is worth it though i would love for us to draft a quality guy.
