Its impossible to get a point across.

I've been watching this game for so long and I'm still trying to figure out some of these rules, so not sure I can be that nerd you're looking for - at least, not yet lol

I'm also trying to figure out if what CJ did was actually a chop block? B/c if so, then that's a B.S. rule right there..

Is a chop block just any block that's kind of low? Or does it have to be a hard low block? Or is it just any low block on a defender not aware its coming?

If I remember right, CJ didn't just block low, it was a chop.

Watch the helmet. If they are looking at the ground and diving it is probably a chop block

    Hmmm, as per Wiki (lol)

Cut block is 'technique that consists of an offensive player knocking a defensive player down by hitting his knees.' - CJ didn't do that...

Chop block is when an offensive player tries 'to cut block a defensive player who is already being blocked by another offensive player.' - CJ was the only guy trying to block him, so definitely can't be that...

    Is wiki correct?

    No

Listen to me and youll be alright

Cj cut him, which is legal

Chopping is a way low block, Cj hit that guy in the nuts, not the knees

A chop block is a high/low block. CJ and Warmack blocked him at the same time. CJ went low and Warmack barely touched him. Shouldn't have been a penalty either way in my opinion.

Bunch of noobs on here when it takes this many posts to get the real answer.

My understanding has always been that its only a chop block if the person is already engaged with another player and another player comes in low (knees down). Look at what Decastro did to Pouncy in the titans vs Steelers game..he was going for a chop block, but wrecked his own guys knee. I didn't see CJs block on that play but from I've read he was the only blocker therefore it couldn't be a chop block. At least from what ive always defined as a chop block. If a chop block is just a blocker going down towards the knees.. CJ should have been called on Lockers TD run. He went low, driving his helmet into the defender while hitting him down by the knees. And I heard all kinds of talk about that being a good block.
