Jake was playing good, yes. He wasn't playing like Brady, Peyton or Rodgers. I really don't think there will be too much of a drop off. This team has been winning because of defense and the threat of the run game. Even though we haven't been torching people on the ground, just the threat of CJ has been freeing up receivers to get open. The season is definitely not over.

All you talking about Freeman are crazy. The same arguments you are making for him can also be made for Fitz. He was in a bad situation there where it was either score a ton of points or lose. He has the defense here and doesn't have to force things. He just has to do the same things Locker has and take what the defense gives him.

Yes it sucks that we lost Locker as soon as he was starting to turn it up, but I see no reason we can't win the same amount of games with Fitz as we could with Locker. He did look very good in preseason (yes I understand it was just preseason and he was playing 2nd stringers). I think he is a much better pure pocket passer than Locker at this point. We lose the scrambles, but gain the short to mid accuracy. I'm not worried at all about the remainder of the season. I wish Locker didn't get hurt, but he did. Lets move forward. We can still win games.

100% agree. We have an above average backup in Fitzpatrick, but there's a reason he is a backup. The fall off won't be as bad as most teams see, but a falloff is a certainty.

The Jets were completely selling out run. Locker took what the defense gave him. They didn't believe he could beat them with his arm. They were wrong. Receivers were getting single coverage all game and were mostly wide open. Not taking anything away from Locker, he played great, but there is a reason CJ got bottled up all game and it's not because he's slow.

And did you really just compare Locker to Brady, Brees, Rodgers, and Peyton. These guys have years of MVP performances with the whole game plan based on stopping them. Locker has done it for 6 quarters with the whole game plan based on stopping CJ. I think he can get there in time, but right now he is nowhere near that level.

Hoping for the best with Locker but confident that Fitzy will be fine with proper preparation. Very excited about this defense though. If the defense stays stingy it will go a long way in bridging the talent gap at QB.

He is/was looking like a NFL QB and one that could actually WIN a game instead of being a "game manager". Let's just hope it is weeks instead of next year when we get to see more of Locker. Keeping the faith.
