I really think he grew up since Georgia and has made strides as a pocket passer. Someone we could get later in the draft.

This Locker injury is really horrible timing. If he comes back and lays an egg it's either because of the injury or it's who he really is and the first 4 games was just a hot streak. We can't catch a break. I really do think Locker can be our franchise QB but I would hate to have this guy go down every year with some sort of injury. If he could just stay healthy this wouldn't be a problem but now I think we need to at least use a mid round pick on a QB.

I think the injury issues with Locker are very real and need to be considered. He missed his sophomore year at UW with a broken thumb and played through some broken ribs his senior senior. Then he dislocates his shoulder last year and now the hip.

The Lions stuck with Stafford after a couple of fluke injuries and it paid off, but we know this franchise isn't that lucky. Isn't that terrible? We have worse luck than the Lions!

Locker needs to stay healthy, the NFL needs to treat ALL QB's the same. NO flag on the hit, yet I'll be willing to wager there will be a fine. Number 9 used to get the hell beat out of him and very few flags were thrown. If you give a brady or manning the evil eye it's a personal foul.

I don't think so. He's shown every throw you want a QB to make and has prototypical size and arm strength. That guy is going to fly up draft boards throughout the year and he'll test well in shorts.

I think he could end up being a second round pick when it's all said and done unless his off-field issues are significant.

I don't think his off field issues are that bad, he got a little too drunk and handsy and got busted. He was also under age so that just kinda threw a nice cherry on top of the situation. Some teams will probably find it more of a problem than others but like what LoneWolf said he seems to have grown and matured from it. Only issue is we don't have a 2nd round pick and I think that's where he probably ends up. So we would have to spend a 1st on him.

We have a second round pick for him we don't have a third

I would take Derek Carr over Mettenberger or Murray

If these underclassmen QBs were smart they'd stay in school an extra year and pray the Jags don't have the first pick in 2015. Dead serious. It's going to be David Carr Syndrome for whoever gets drafted there.

    Thread is extremely legit now.

I say trade up to get the guy.

Give up what you need to. You can't win in this league without a QB.
