    Fitzpatrick
    72 Career Games
    81 INTs
    16 Fumbles

Why would anyone want this guy?

There aren't better options. That is why I would want Freeman. He can be had for cheap. If for some reason Fitzpatrick sucks it up (I don't think he will) it would be nice to have insurance instead of just throwing away the season.

And I'll buy Freeman insurance over Rusty Smith, David Carr, John Skelton insurance.

NOBODY is saying give up the farm for Freeman. But you guys sure are attached to 6th or 7th round picks, or Britt who does nothing.

6th and 7th round picks statistically speaking are little more than camp fodder most of the time. I posted a statistical analysis on draft picks back in May:

Very very few picks beyond the third round do much of anything. And you do not get much from the second and third either. Giving up a 6th or 7th is not a big deal.

Well usually those last 2 picks dont ever translate to much, but when they do you get a Jason McCourty, Mike Otto type. And maybe its just me but Id prefer another McCourty or Otto than a Josh Freeman who has no place on this team.

Yea but when you dont even have that 6th or 7th round pick to use on a guy, you never can know.

So Alex wants us to burn a 6th rounder on Freeman, ok but then what in 4-6 weeks when Jake is playing? Cut Freeman?

I am pretty confident that most people don't really know why Freeman is struggling and are automatically writing the guy off.

The ONLY issue I have with bringing him in, is how quick he can pick up an offense. I honestly think he could be a franchise QB here if given a chance. I don't want a QB controversy when Locker comes back though.

I doubt they will let Freeman go for a 6th anyway. As it is such a crap shoot pick.

    Compare TD passes?

In any case, I'll say it again. Who cares?

Back-up QBs suck, that's why they are back-ups. Yet you want to trade for a back-up to the back-up? This conversation is retarded.

Yeah I want to get Freeman so that if A) Fitzpatrick absolutely blows or B) Fitzpatrick gets hurt we don't throw away the season after a great start.

I guess you don't give a damn about this season if Fitzpatrick goes down. It's not like he is Brady or Manning and the team can't recover if he does. There probably isn't that much difference between Fitz and Freeman as is. But I think there is tremendous difference between Freeman and Rusty.

But hell, if you don't care about the Titans record then yeah I guess this conversation is retarded.

Let me ask you guys this. If Fitz gets hurt and is out for 8 weeks. Would you rather see Vince or Rusty come in?
