Money isn't an issue for Bama. They can outbid any college. Doesn't mean saban would stay because of the money, but means he won't leave for it.

    They can't outbid Texas. Sorry.

Texas has more money to spend.

Alabama can't outbid them. Though... with boosters and we all know they don't follow rules there... maybe?

Texas' boosters probably a bit more wealthy too though. Could be interesting.

    But yeah.

    Austin > Tuscaloosa.
    Texas Recruits > Alabama Recruits
University of Texas > University of Alabama
    Challenge > Same ol' same
Big 12 Schedule > SEC Schedule

also- it should be noted that this current Alabama team doesn't seem near as good as those of the last few years.

That could come in to play.

DW just guzzles the hateraid till he cant take anymore! Your opinions might carry more weight if it wassnt so painfully obvious they you were anti-SEC just because you cant stand a bunch of winners. Yes, Texas is a big program with lots of fans and boosters.. but so is Bama ... and Bama is a championship winning machine! Ill tell you the same thing most teams outside of the Southeastern Conference has heard for damn near a decade now.. Dont worry, there is always next year ;)

I guarantee you Alabama can match any offer that Texas puts out there if they want to. As far as recruiting, considering that Bama is consistently one of the top 3 in rankings...above Texas...that is a wash. Getting the recruits to Bama isn't hard at all for Saban.

... so what did I say that wasn't true?

Sheesh. I hate on the SEC, but this isn't a case of that.

    1. No, Alabama can't match what Texas can pay Saban. Don't just say things that aren't true.

    2. Alabama is top 3 in rankings... Because of Saban.

Better recruites (high school players) come from Texas. So recruiting would be even easier for him there.

    Okay, let's see..

Austin > Tuscaloosa = True (imo)
Texas Recruits > Alabama Recruits = False (http://sports.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/teamrank/2013/all/all) (You can even go back several years and find Bama usually at the top)
University of Texas > University of Alabama = False .. Assuming you are comparing football programs and not chess teams. The latter may be a push.
Challenge = Same ol' same (one little adjustment fixed this inequality .. at least for the SEC)
Big 12 Schedule > SEC Schedule = false (Phil Steele's SOS has nine SEC teams in the top 25 to Big 12's seven. Close but no cigar.)
You are actually right about this one  According to a Forbes report, Texas is right on top.

Saban has already stated numerous times, even before the Texas rumors, he doesn't have many more years left. He doesn't want to be super old when he retires and go ahead and throw in him saying he doesn't want to rebuild another program at his age. He's not going anywhere, despite how much some of you guys want it to happen.

Yeah because every program except Bama is clean ;)

-Austin is better than Ttown, no argument here.
-Saban will get pretty much whomever he wants wherever he goes, he's had the top class like 5 straight years.
-In what? Sports? False. Academics? Not sure.
-He got his challenge in the NFL. Not sure why this challenge stance keeps coming up.
    -Easiness, yup.

Still #1 and probably headed to another championship game. A program isn't going to win it every year, what he's done already is historic. As much as the Miami dynasty has been hyped they won 5 titles over 18 years. Saban has won 3 in 4 years and possibly another this year.

Ok...I won't say things that aren't true. Bama can match any offer that any other school makes. Now whether or not they would is another story. If Texas comes out and offers, say $10 Mill a year, they could match it but why would they? That would be ridiculous. The only reason Saban would leave would be a new challenge, imo. But if that was the case, go to UConn.
