you sure about that? I would argue that the intellecutal nature involved with being an olineman is probably the most difficult out of any position (other than QB). Not to mention the ability to adjusting to stunts, blitzes, making sure you can sell screens and other plays.

Watch the coaches film. I'm not talking about open-field speed.

Battle looks to be moving faster when he receives the handoff. Maybe it's by design as he's running towards a designated hole and CJ is looking to adjust if the hole isn't there.

In these two games, the OL often wasn't holding their blocks long enough which meant a lot of adjustments for CJ (and the negative carries).

It may be by design. They may want Battle, the bigger power guy, going fast into the D. While they may want :cj:waiting for blocks to set up.

Um, zone blocking. You know a system where the center and guards have to reach block, cut and pull, often blocking linebackers. Basically our guards and centers play a lot in space, mind you all teams have similar concepts but I really believe our guards should be quicker and more athletic. Clearly he is a heavy footed slow mauler type.

Don't get me wrong I think Chance will be a beast eventually and think he is just getting acclimated to the league right now but mobility was one of the main issues behind why I wanted Jonathan Cooper over him in the draft. Before anyone decides to comment about Cooper's injury remember that this injury wasn't inevitable and things may have been different if he were drafted elsewhere.

At any rate Turner needs to go even if Schwenke isn't much better at the moment because at least with Schwenke we have the hope that he will improve and develop whereas Turner already is anything he was gonna be.

I thought Alabama ran a zone blocking scheme. His athleticism for a guy his size was supposed to be a huge plus. He seems to pull well.

It was my understanding the goal was to get bigger on the OL.

He struggled to get out to the LB a few plays I saw but the main issue was just getting knocked backwards off the snap or overpowered more than I expected to see. He needs to get stronger at the point of contact and improve his technique.

Should have drafted a guard in the third round like a normal team.

I still can't help but wonder if we really were targeting Cooper and the Cards just stole him from underneath us. I know they say Warmack was the guy they wanted all along but they pretty much say that about every pick.
