The Ryan Fitzpatrick hate thread

Our expectations are having a QB that is not a turnover machine, accurate to a game manager level, and can do better than a 57 QB rating. Yeah, those are unrealistic expectations.

He is the main reason we lost today, and arguably last week.

Now on to the presentation.....

 

We would be much better if we had Jake Locker & Shonn Greene in there the last two games.Injuries to our best players are the main reason we are losing.

 

Hey, you get what you pay for...we had a better former starter right here that we let slip away over money, while breaking the bank to beef up an o line that isn't run blocking all that well.
Matt Hasselbeck is carrying Luck's clipboard right now when he could have been out there beating his former team. As for Fitzpatrick, his weekly low-key owning of his bafoonery at press conferences doesn't make me feel any better about him. He continues to praise the defense, which while the right thing to do would seem like so much b.s. to me if I just played the way they did just to have your backup QB waste it two weeks in a row.

 

If we had even a serviceable run game and offensive coordinator then I'd be right there with you.

Look, he sucked today. No doubt about it. But not many backup QBs are going to be successful in these circumstances. Sometimes excuses have merit. Choose to ignore them if you wish.

Yeah, it's just too bad we didn't have Rusty Smith, Matt Leinart, or Jamarcus Russell out there today... WE WOULD'VE WON FOR SURE!!!

Face it dude. This offense has major problems outside of the QB position. And I have a feeling they're going to continue to rear their ugly head even when Locker returns.

 

Yeah, not looking like the best decision right about now.

 

Funny, they weren't doing too bad when Locker was in there. If we had a serviceable run game, Fitz would average about 10 pass attempts per game.

Something tells me that this is more about your feelings toward Locker than it is a quest to right the wrongs Fitz is facing from the fans.

 

I suppose not "doing too bad" is pretty subjective. I know I wasn't overly impressed with this offense, even with Locker in there (Jets game aside). They nearly cost us the game against an awful Steelers team. And they did cost of the game against (what has turned out to be) a nearly as awful Texans team. We had one offensive TD prior to the Justin Hunter miracle catch in the Chargers game.

Not sure what you mean by this (?). Locker had me believing. In fact, I distinctly remember making the comment in the Jets gameday thread "Folks, we have us a franchise QB". I was as pissed as anybody when he went down.

And really, I couldn't care less about Fitzpatrick. I just think the amount of hate he's getting is very silly and very irrational. The run game is what's wrong with this offense, point blank. Rushing for 15-30 yards on a regular basis is not going to get it done, Locker or no Locker.

 

Fitz sucks, yes.

But our ten million dollar running back behind our expensive rebuilt line is ridiculously bad.
