Am I the only one that thinks our passing game will be better?

The question is - is Locker (and Fitzpatrick) better than Terrell Pryor?

I can't imagine how the suicide stats will be affected once Jake Locker comes back and plays badly.

Love how 2 solid games and everyone acts like we lost a HOF qb.

People fail to realize that Fitz has gone up against then 2nd and 3rd ranked pass D back-to-back. Not many QBs, especially backups, would impress after facing those two teams. Even Locker.

Exactly. He's been bad (although much worse in the Seattle game than the KC one IMO). But he's faced two of the top defenses as you said. He's getting zero help from the run game. Receivers were dropping balls left and right during the KC game. Loggains is worthless.

Also, I think people have built up Locker too much in their heads over 2+ good quarters of football. Don't get me wrong, he had me starting to believe too. But let's be realistic here. He was very unimpressive in weeks 1 and 2. So much so that most here were questioning whether or not he would he even be our QB next year. Then, he had one passing TD that was the result of a hail mary at the end of the Chargers game to salvage what would otherwise have been a pretty pedestrian day for him. And he scored 3 TDs against the Jets. 3 TDs that were the result of starting each drive in Jet territory.

Can you fault him for starting in opposing territory? Absolutely not. I'm just saying let's put the 2-tone blue glasses aside and try to look at this situation realistically. IMO there's no guarantee we win either of these past two games with Locker.* Locker was playing "well", not "out of his mind" against the 17th, 28th, 22nd, and 15th ranked defenses in the league. Fitz has been "bad" and "very bad" against the 1st and 3rd ranked defenses in the league.

*Before anyone trips, that's not to say that Locker isn't a better QB than Fitz. He clearly is.

If the run game doesn't get it together I think we're going to see the offense continue to struggle even when Locker gets back. The offense line is a mess right now. Special teams is a joke. Thank god for that defense. It's the only reason we're not getting blown out by 30+ points like last year.

You forgot to list the excuses for Fitz. I've seen it done with bullet points, so you might try that. You also forgot to discredit what Locker has done but then act as though you're unbiased about the situation.
