Hey, I was AT THAT Super Bowl!!! It was an amazing game! Certainly one of the best of all time!!! Even though we lost, we put everything on the field. Sometimes, when you do the right thing, the other team gets lucky. Sometimes you see greatness emerge even without a W attached to it. And sometimes you see guys who should be down and out, rally together as a family...as a team...and show the World what inspiration looks like.

And btw, you are missing one of the more dramatic big plays in Super Bowl history missed out due to us having lost. The 2nd to last play was all McNair and his will not to lose. Any other QB would have been sacked and game over. Mac9 gave us a chance with great effort and heart!

    IMHO anyway!

if fishface would have slapped Steckel at the end of the first Q Titans win that game going away. When we finally started ramming EG down their throats they had no answers.

    I was there too!

I was only 10 years old, so I don't remember too much, but yea... for whatever reason, the Super Bowl doesn't haunt me. Maybe because I was too young, but like you said... we gave it everything we had, and we fought hard as all hell to tie that game up. McNair's escape and throw to Dyson before the final play was epic, and it would've gone down as one of the best Super Bowl plays of all time (like Manning to Tyree) if we had won. The Rams were just a better team.

I cannot say the 2000 Ravens and 2008 Ravens were better than our 2000 and 2008 teams, however. They just weren't better than us. Period. End of story. We were the better team, and we handed those games to them... refs helped with that missed delay of game call too.

You don't start Locker next Sunday unless he's healthy and takes all the reps in practice with the first unit. Even if he MIGHT be healthy enough to play but can't practice much, you don't start him. Remember, for as well as he's played, with less then a full year starting, he really needs all his practice reps during the week.

I expect Munch will say he's Doubtful and see how he does during the week...IF he practices. With a Hip I don't see them risking it unless he's %100 by wednesday.

One injury made us a worse team because it stopped us from playing the scheme of our D. Robertson being out at FS against the Greatest Show on Turf was a giant injury. We played them earlier that year and were the only team to take them apart defensively! Without Robertson, we couldn't blitz much so we played a bend don't break style instead of the attacking style we'd played all year. Still a GREAT game!!! One of the few losses I was left content and happy to have been there. And that was after spending a lot flying a few thousand miles to get there and the $1500 for the seat! Worth every penny!

I was also at the loss to the Pats when Bennett dropped that ball and no flag. Coldest game Ive ever been at by far!!!

I have to say that I disagree with Pollard about this game being a "must win" as the worse case scenario is that we fall two games back behind Indy and still have two games to play against them. We would still be in reasonable control of our own fate with Locker coming back after the bye week.

The BCS of coarse is beating the 49ers and Indy losing to the Broncos (Peyton will be out for blood in his old home) which would put us dead even with the Colts with two games to play. Then we have two very winnable games against the Rams and Jaguars for Locker to get back into the groove with our offense before we get to host Indy.

    Basically what I'm saying is:

Only other road playoff game I've been to was the game before that... in Baltimore. What a glorious win. I thought for sure we'd blown it when they tied it up with that Heap TD. Completely shut down Jamal Lewis. That was awesome. He comes within like 30 yards of setting the single season rushing record. Then he plays us and gets like 40 total yards. lol

Also Eddie slamming Ray down was classic.

Jumped out of my seat when Baxter blew the coverage and McCareins caught that bomb from #9. I was with family who are actually from the Baltimore area, and they are, unfortunately, Ravens fans. But to be 100% honest, I have not even seen or talked with them since that day, so they're not really close family - that's the price they pay for being fans of Satan's team.

Anyways, I was dressed in neutral clothing to avoid a brutal stabbing, and I got some death stares when I jumped out of my seat on that play.

I went to Jacksonville for a random game in 2004. We ended up kind of spoiling their season. They were playoff contenders at that point. We beat them and everything just kind of fell apart for them from there on out.

I went to Pittsburgh for the season opener in 2009. And I went to the Panthers and Falcons games in 2011.

Great times. I try to pick games I think we can win because I don't wanna get embarrassed. I remember wanting to go to Green Bay last year. Ruled that out by week 2 after I saw how bad we sucked. lol

I really want to go to STL for our game, but I would need a guarantee ASAP that Locker will play.
