In my opinion mid-season is the ideal time for your team to have a week of no football. It gives guys a chance to heal up and re-energize for the back half of the season. After 7 weeks of football our team has a good sense of whats working and what needs work.

Our opponents combined win% of .418 really makes our .429 win% look good going into these last 9 games. I'll miss the Titans not playing this weekend, but at least we can't lose this Sunday right...

week 8 is perfect and I think the worst time to have a bye is early on like week 3 or 4. It all depends on the team tho because if u have a rough start to a season the early bye helps you reorganize while I think mid to late season bye's are usually preferred.

I think the midway point is a great time for a bye week. You have a good idea of what has been working or not working, 7 games is a good amount to see what is or isnt working and you have 2 weeks to work it out and then 9 games to make it work and recover.

Players are always going to be getting hurt. There is no magical time. I do think this bye came at the right time for this Titan team. Locker finished the game Sunday on a positive note. So going foreward I think this team should become a passing team. We are damn sure not a blue collar running team.

I don't care much for our byes because I hardly watch football on Sundays then. The wife probably appreciates it.

The bye week is good timing for our team though. It gives Locker a week of rest. We really need him near 100% when we play the rams. I could tell he didn't have the burst when rushing out of the pocket last game.

Well if Goodell has his way we could be looking at 2 byes in a season.

he wants an 18 game season too and 16 games is hard enough to make it through with or without the bye week. So many injuries and the nfl is a game of attrition.
