Can you back this up, or are you just pulling more numbers out of thin air?

Let me start by saying there is no such thing as a back who gets 3-4 yards EVERY time they touch the ball. Take a game of Peterson's this season against DET where he went for 92 yards on 18 carries with 2 TDs. A great game by any RB's standards. How did he get there? 78TD yard run, 2, -3, -4, 4TD, -3, -4, 0, 2, 1, 7, 2, -1, 5, 1, 1, 3, 2. The point is EVERY RB makes there living in waves. A RB who gets 4 yards on EVERY play would arguably be the greatest RB of all time.

Maybe he doesn't have 4.24 speed, but I'd wager he is still faster than the majority of the NFL in the open field. I already addressed the comparison to McCoy in another thread, and frankly CJ has been a much more productive player up until this season (which is only halfway through)

Show me another RB who has put up about 1500 yards in EVERY season they have been in the NFL. As bad as CJ has been in the eyes of most, you will be hard pressed to find a more consistent back on a year-to-year basis.

Geez... Did you really think I meant "every time" in a literal sense? That's impossible, but there are such RBs that get 3-4 yards the vast majority of their carries (80%+). CJ does not fall in that category. Not even close.

How can you not accept the fact that the vast majority of CJ's runs are 2 yards or less?

I guess I need to start specifying with "vast majority" instead of "every time" since you thought I meant that Shonn Greene has literally never gotten less than 3 yards on a carry in his career.

I'm desperate for RB's on one of my FF teams. I ended up picking up Greene. Hope he shoves his foot up the rams butt.

I've never been a CJ fan. When LenWhale was a Titan, I much preferred his 3-4 yard consistency over the occasional CJ homerun. I was a big Eddie George fan, and CJ is the opposite type of runner. Just not sustainable in my opinion. I'll root for anyone in Titan blue running the ball, but I'd prefer a bruiser over a cruiser.

Well you did say as such
And I'm still waiting for you to prove that the vast majority (>80% according to you) are for less than 2 yards.

While you're at it, why don't you cite a few examples of those RBs who get 4 yards on over 80% of their runs?

I honestly believe it's time to look for a younger back in the up coming draft. Not saying :cj: is done, but he's not far from it. Two maybe three years left in :cj:'s tank.

no, I'm saying CJ is done. it's pretty damn clear he can't play against good teams.
