In 2010 the 49ers had two first round picks. Used one an on OT and the other on an OG.

Hopefully we pickup a tackle first or second round. We need a day 1 starting RT rookie, who will eventually replace Roos at LT.

Might as well take a LB in the 2nd also ;-)

Levitre could play RT in a pinch if he had to. Easier to get guards than tackles.

This is a list of the available Tackle free agents in the offseason. I'm not sure how confident the coaching staff would be in a rookie Tackle with Jakes durability issues. Will there even be a Tackle available to us when we pick in the draft that is worth a first round pick? Just wanted to see what you guys think about the possibility of us picking up a free agent lineman. I know how tight the cap will be but this year we really need a dominant DT to line up next to Casey.

Additionally Doug Free of the Cowboys is all but certain to be cut in the offseason.

Roos has a couple of years left in him.. though I agree we'll probably have to replace Stewart this offseason. If his injury doesn't do him in, his cap hit will. We can wait a bit longer to draft a 2nd OT.

Crutches played well yesterday, aside from that one running play where the entire defense couldn't bring down a 5th round rookie running back. Crutches is getting the rust off now, so if he stays healthy we could be set at LB for a while with Brown, Crutches, and Ayers/Gooden. I'm waiting until the end of the season to make my judgement about our need for a MLB.

We still have quite a few needs: OT, TE, WR, DE, DT, CB, SS. We can probably get by with our CBs, WRs, and Safeties for another year, so I expect us to go OT/DE in rounds 1 and 2. Maybe throw MLB into the mix if Crutches doesn't play well or, God forbid, get injured.
