Wrong answer. The correct answer is you don't hesitate to draft a future QB even if you have a good starter, a la the Denver Broncos with Manning but they still drafted Osweiller and are grooming him for the future.

Does it really matter? The kid is accident prone and has yet to get in a full season. How long do we wait for that to happen? Enough is enough. I think he could be a really good QB, but only if he plays. Up to this point, the only thing he's done is get hurt and rehabbed. We need to go in a different direction.

lol. Didn't he get hurt after handing the ball off and jogging briskly with no one around?? The guy is more fragile than Vince Young.

Maybe, but at least the one good thing is he doesn't hurt the same hamstring over and over and over and over and over like VY.

No no no. I'm saying you the smartest thing to do is what the Packers, Broncos, and even Redskins did with Kirk Cousins. There is nothing wrong with using a 2nd or 3rd round pick (or even in some cases a 1st) even if you have a good starting QB. Never know about injuries plus can turn around and trade the young QB for draft picks in the future if that is how it all works out.

Not when you have other gaping holes.

    This is a solid idea.

Invest in early round QB's, hold onto them for a year or so and flip them for the same pick or better.

But like butt-breath said, it only works if you have every slot filled.

I tend to agree except in this case. The lockout had a lot to do with sitting him his first year.
