If munch & Co. All have thier jobs next season, I will be finding a new team to support. It would be crystal clear at that point that ownership cats more about thier buddies than winning.

I'd either go bears, whom I've always liked, and who were my team of choice pre Titans, or I could join my wife and become a saints fan...

Actually it's all based on math. The difference between picking a player at number 1 vs number 15 is approximately a 6% change in the pool to pick players from. This is excluding all undrafted players as well. Additionally, a separate argument can be made that lowers that percent chance if you throw in FA as well.

This is also just assuming the GM has virtually no skill with a scale being a team like the Jaguars who have busted on players more often than not and a team like New England who went to consecutive Superbowls back to back even with the number 32 pick in the draft consecutive seasons in a row.

With a GM who has good skills at drafting are put into this equation, a 6% change in player picks should not effect a professional at this level. I'm sorry I don't disagree with you because it's my opinion, but because I believe it is just a fact.

Another point I'd like to add is that, when drafting higher (15-25) it is actually harder for a team that isn't rebuilding (i.e. looking for that final piece to make them competitive to win the Superbowl) than it is for a team rebuilding.

A team rebuilding, theoretically and by definition, should have many positions to replace. There are not enough draft picks for a team to rebuild in a single draft. That means the probability that their draft picks are picks they need for rebuilding is nearly 100%. So it really doesn't matter whether they draft number 1 or number 32. All that matters is that they scout correctly and pick up Best Player Available because chances are they will fill one of the dozen of holes the team has.

A team that needs that one WR or RB to make it into the Superbowl next will be the team that really needs the number 1 draft pick (Atlanta two years ago for Julio Jones). They know they are missing one or two pieces of the team so they sacrifice everything to get that piece because their options are much smaller than a team rebuilding.

Dumb theory. We pick better at the end of the first. In my opinion our best picks recently have been CJ and Wright. Anyone care to tell me where they were picked? I will say Morgan has turned into a decent pick as well.

Tanking would be the dumbest thing for us to do because as others have said, knowing how to draft is much more important than where you draft. Case in point the New England Patriots. That team has been one of the top 5 teams in the league for over a decade and as we all know they have made a killing by having talent evaluators who can find gems that fit their system deep in the draft. Every single year they trade back one of their top picks and then pick Joe Schmo from Tiny University who then becomes a 3+ year starter for them. If draft position was the be all end all as some of you are implying the Pats would suck more than us and Browns.

I trust Ruston Webster to deliver a good-great draft class this year. We're not a player away we're a class away and I think our goals are within reach. We've gone from getting blown out weekly to competing and for stretches of time, dominating great teams. I know no one wants to hear it but this team needs more time. It's not like we can actually do anything about any of this but ***** and moan so we might as well be patient, watch and wait.

    I want playoffs.

...and today went well for the Titans. They are 1 game behind the Jets and Dolphins. Next week's game is HUGE.

There is a significant difference between the top 6% of players available and the rest. That's why they say there are a few "sure things" in each draft. Your fact is predicated on opinion. It's ok for our opinions to be different.
