Tennesseans were spoiled in the 90's and very early 2000's.

    They fear change.

Like before we went downhill, half this board was praising Locker for his play before he got injured. Munchak has put our teams into position to win games, the players have f*cked up more than he has this season in my opinion. I'm not talking about 95% of the game, I'm talking about the horrible, random f*ck ups.. like fumbling a punt/kickoff, taking a safety, throwing into triple coverage, ect. That's what has killed us this year.. not so much the other 95% of the play.

I agree with that but I will also add this. He has had 3 years to show improvement in regard to the win-loss record and make the playoffs. He has not done so and actually set this franchise back another few years from making a SOLID playoff run. If we make the playoffs this year it will be because we got help from the outside. Why keep this guy? He may not be terrible but is he great enough that you WANT to have him around?

Great thread with great points. I actually agree with everything you pointed out because Munchak has definitely been unlucky this year. All that said though, he still deserves to be fired BUT I don't think he will. I feel at the very least the new people in charge will let him finish his contract out.

All your points on our losses have been spot on, I won't argue any of it. The issue I have with Munchak is that even though this team has shot themselves in the foot and been unlucky we were still in position to win those close games. Munchak won't go for it on 4th down when we need to keep decisive drives alive yet he challenges plays and wastes timeouts on calls that have no chance of being overturned in his favor.

He might be unlucky, but he's made his own bad luck as well. Reynaud should have never been the returner. It was obvious last year he lacked a feel for returning but he was brought back anyway. And SURPRISE, he cost us a couple of games.

Let's not just gloss over the performance of the offensive line. Whether it be the wrong guys that he wanted playing(I'd assume he had a hand in the three new starters) or his bestest buddy that's the offensive line coach, it's not even close to the standard of an average offensive line.
