If the Titans lose to the Raiders it will be the second time in three weeks they will have lost to a team with an inferior roster. And we're mostly at full-strength. We aren't missing any starters on defense and only two on offense.

I wonder why Fewell hasn't been hired. Talking heads have been raving about him for years, but he can't land a job. That bothers me.

I used to be big on Fewell. I've cooled on him a bit though. One thing that concerns me is the guy's been on several interviews and yet has never been hired. I know part of that is probably explained by the Rooney Rule, but still. He's obviously never wowed anybody in any of his interviews. Maybe that means nothing in the grand scheme of things but it's something I tend to take into consideration.

I think you said it there. He has been to a lot of interviews for which he never had a chance of getting the job.

The Chiefs DC told his guys against P.Manning.... "look, ignore all the hand signals because he's bluffin and don't listen to what he's sayin, he's just trying to confuse you....look men, I don't really know what to tell you against this guy except that you're f'ked." Jerry Gray says the same thing about every quarterback every game. He has no schemes, no packages... no creativity. Just Go Zone... Go Man. Don't get me started on Loggains, He makes the DC of every other team look like Nostradamus, while the army of armchair quarterbacks at home say, well, I know this formation, let me get a beer because our next play is a punt. I know it sounds ludicrous but Dennis Rodman and Carrot Top could produce the same results... speaking of ludicrous, if we're gonna hire Mike Munchak next year, why not Mike Tyson.... geez.

I don't like the Houston Texans at all but one thing you can say is their ownership is not going to stand for losing and are already taking steps to steer the team in the right direction by firing head coach Gary Kubiak.

This is the kind of situation where the Tennessee ownership needs to pay close attention and watch how things unfold down in Houston where our rivals are already getting a head start on changing the course of their franchise.

When the season ends barring a miraculous finish by Munchak and his flunkies the whole crew needs to be shown the door.Tommy Smith can get a lot of respect and good attention thrown his way by doing the right thing and taking steps to correct our own situation here in Tennessee.

Giving Munchak another year isn't going to solve anything.A leopard doesn't change stripes and Munchak won't either. The losing will continue and this franchise will just be driven further away from the goal of turning things around and getting this team on the right track.

Most owners around the league won't tolerate losing and i don't know many that would let a coach who is already losing finish their contract just because they don't want to lose money by firing one coach and hiring a new one.

No one really knows yet how this ownership will react but i hope they are not the type to stand around and sit on their hands doing nothing. Most say as long as the team is making money and the stands are full than thats really all some owners care about.

This team has done pretty good its first fifteen years in the league. The last four or five years haven't been that good and mediocre is one term i could use to define that stretch. The team had stability for many years under former coach Jeff Fisher but since he left Mike Munchak has not done much at all to lead this team in the right direction.

I think there is a lack of discipline and structure on the team among other things.I do think the GM has built a pretty good roster of players. The main problem in my opinion has to do with the coaching. We've seen Kansas City and San Francisco turn their teams around and the biggest issue was the coaching in both places. When both coaches took over those teams they left the roster alone for the most part because the teams already had good players all that was needed was a change in leadership.

I think Tennessee is in a similar position to the one Kansas City was in in 2012.Once they changed head coaches and brought in another QB they went from the worst team in the league to one of the best. They had basically the same roster in 2013 as they did the year before.

I'd like to see us do something similar to what both of those teams did and start by firing our head coach and bringing in a new head coach who can bring discipline, structure, leadership and a will to win to this team. The question is will ownership take the time to do it?

It's sad when we'd be *shocked* if a terrible coach/staff was actually fired when they should be, and not 4 years too late.
