Jake Locker's rookie contract is through 2014. He'll make just over $2M for 2014. Since Jake was a top 10 pick, the Titans have an option for a fifth year, but it will cost them the average of the top 10 QBs in the league (currently just over $13M for 2015). The Titans will likely not exercise that option, so Jake will be playing for a negotiated extension with the Titans or will head to Free Agency at the end of 2014.

Do the Titans need to look ahead and grab a QB in the 2014 draft? Is it the #1 priority, or something in the back of their minds?

    Poll up.

Ask me again at the end of the season. Either way, the Locker/Fitzy/Munchak show might get a final year. Of those 3, only Locker deserves it, and maybe Fitzy/

I think we draft someone in later rounds.

We should almost always draft a later round QB cause you never know when you might hit big.

Way too hard to say if we would draft someone in 1st and 2nd until we know what our draft picks are and the draft order (teams that will draft QB vs those that won't).

I think we need to draft a QB but it will depend on who is available and when.

I think a lot of this will depend on how we finish out the season. If Munch does enough to keep his job then I don't see us taking a QB any sooner than the mid rounds. If we bring in a new coaching staff (doubt it) then they will probably take a QB early.

I'd personally like to see us keep Jake around for the last year of his deal but also pursue other starting caliber QBs to challenge him for the starting spot. As much as I like Fitz and what he's doing I think we need to look into all options to be as good as we can be at the QB spot. It is the most important position and we see how hard it is to win without a good one.

If the right guy falls to us in the 2nd then we grab him, otherwise we spend a late round 4th-7th round pick on a project. Of course we will probably draft 2 TE's and FB....

    Bingo.

At the very least we need to get someone to take Rusty's spot as #3. That guy has had his chance to move up and just isn't good enough.

Well that would make sense since we do not have a third this year ;)
