That's why I said Gruden. I think he could be a guy that could do that for us. Hell he did it in Tampa. I'll shut up about Gruden cuz he wont come here. What about Mike Holmgren though? He knows how to win even though he is a little on the old side chokes in the championship games.

Because the main reason everyone says get him is because he won a super bowl. Problem is, he inherited that team. The year after the super bowl? 7-9, then 5-11. Followed by an 11-5 season then 4-12, 9-7, 9-7

Hes "a name". Just being a name doenst translate into success. People say "he has a winning coaching record", well so did fisher, over a much longer period of time. JG has a 5.4 winning percentage, Fisher has a 5.35.

Theres also the "no coach has ever won a SB with different teams" mantra. Sure, it could happen, but how likely is it?

If we get a new coach, I do not want a rehashed. I want someone new, who has not been a head coach of an NFL team. Whether it be from college, or a coordinator. Unless its someone who has proven they can go to a team, and bring a certain ability to improve at least one side of the ball dramatically.

I know I seem to be in the minority here, but I could give a damn who the coach is as long as they arent completely horrible. And despite what everyone says here, he is NOT horrible. Just dumb looking.

I still think this team, more than anything, needs more playmakers. People who are consistent week in and week out, and always perform at a high level. A QB would be awesome, but half the teams in the league want one of those.

Look at last years team. Absolutely HORRIBLE. Same staff, with some additions, and they look MUCH better this season. Not good enough, no doubt, but if we had better players, who wouldnt drop the ball, wouldnt fumble, ect ect ect... then no one is even having this discussion about Munch. At the same time... if Hunter doenst make a couple amazing catches... we have an even worse record, and more people dislike munch.

Most NFL head coaches go through growing pains. one of the best coaches in the league right now, BB.. his first 3 years he went 20-28. Munch right now? 20-23. He has already won the same amount of games than BB has in his first 3 years. (for the record, I am NOT DEFENDING keeping Munch, just pointing out to people that talent is needed here) Does that mean Munch will be BB? Oh hell no, im not dumb lol, but the fact is, if we dont get more, and better talent on this team, it wont matter if the HC is Harbough, or your mom.

No coach is going to come here and turn this team around, without some key additions, as well as a reliable QB.

With the passion I have for this team, I would make the best hire..

I swear nobody would out coach me, and I would get it the face of players..

As much as I want us to win, I would make this team a playoff contender in 1 season, TRUST ME..

I know the Fulmer /Holtz mentions were jokes, but I can hear a Fulmer intro. "We 're gonna work like heck to get this thing turned around ". And Holtz would come in with his veer offense. lol Great stuff.

What else can Munchak do? He obviously can't coach. I agree with the " it takes more knocking over gatorade coolers and screaming at your players, but hell man, does he do anything a "good" coach is supposed to do? He left Renaud returning kicks toooooo long, left Turner on the field too long, and if you ask me he gave Wylie one to many chances (after the first fumble I would have pulled him because that makes the decision to bring him up from the practice squad look pretty stupid). Add that to no emotions, no screaming at players who hurt the team, and not holding other coaches accountable, makes for a pathetic excuse of a coach. Anything a team needs from their HC, Munchak has proven he can't provide! Bring in Gruden, Cowher or Billick! Just get Munch and Loggains out of here!

He did good things with the Raiders too though.

His biggest problem is QB. He always relied on nearly washed up veterans (or crappy QBs) to get the job for him - Gannon, Johnson, Garcia, and he even had Simms as his starter for a while.

So I guess I'll pass. A QB is what we need. Sick of not having a guy we can trust week in and week out. It's been too damn long.

Gruden will never coach again! He is making more money doing the monday night football and ESPN stuff than he ever made coaching! And its an easier job for him.
