Looking forward to ASM2 but the Spider-man CGI was pretty bad in that trailer. Hope it improves (doubtful)

It was bad in the first movie, so doubtful.

The second one is by far the best Spiderman movie

Nah, ignore the third movie and McGuire was a great Spiderman.

    Seen a few lately....

Man of Steel (6/10)- I liked it but it wasn't anything special. Much like the Captain America movie, I enjoyed the "origin" part of the movie much more than the rest. Which isn't really what you want with a superhero movie.

The World's End (5/10)- Big fan of Pegg/Wright, and Shaun of the Dead is one of my all-time favorites. But man this one was a major disappointment. Story wasn't very engaging. Characters weren't likable. And worst of all, it just wasn't very funny. I laughed out loud maybe 2 or 3 times. 5/10 actually might be too generous now that I think about it.

The Wolverine (6/10)- Decent enough movie but ultimately forgettable. If I weren't such a big fan of the X-Men I doubt I would have liked it as much as I did.

Hobo with a Shotgun (5/10)- Been meaning to watch this for a few years now. I should've just skipped it altogether. These type of movies are usually right up my alley but this one just didn't do much for me.

Really need to watch something great to break this mediocre streak.

Blue Valentine was really good. Ryan Gosling at his best.

Guess I'm in the minority in that I actually really enjoyed The Amazing Spiderman. They certainly didn't nail it, but IMO that version felt closer to the comics than the Raimi versions and was more what I wanted to see out of a big-screen Spidey adaptation. My only real problem was with the casting. Neither Garfield or Stone were great choices for the lead roles. That said, it didn't ruin the movie for me or anything. I just think there are plenty of other people out there who would have been better in those roles.

I think the sequel looks great. Aside from the new X-Men movie, it's probably the movie I'm most looking forward to at this point.
