I was just saying what I think would happen, not what I'd prefer. Munch being fired is definitely #1 on my Christmas list.

Why would anyone trade for him with that ridiculous contract? And why would anyone give up picks and/or players for him when they know we are going to release him anyway? Once it gets out publicly that you're planning to cut a guy you've pretty much killed any trade value.

You're right though, Al Davis might have been the one guy crazy enough to do the deal. But he's not around anymore.

I hope I'm wrong, but I have a bad feeling Pollard isn't going to want to re-sign with us. Unless we land a great new HC.

This team is built to win now, well, should be winning now. Our major hang up (like the past few years) has been production out of our QB position. If we can grab Cutler we can focus on other needs in the draft such as OT, MLB, CB (please sign Verner), pass rushing DE and I guess now RB. If we can give Cutler a 3 year deal and then draft a QB next year in the middle rounds and give him a couple years to sit and learn then hopefully that next guy can come right in and not skip a beat. A new coaching staff will actually know how to utilize the talent we have and our RB won't cost us an arm and a leg anymore. Clean house, pick up Cutler, and let's turn this franchise around.

I guess the other option would be to pass on Cutler, risk Locker/Fitz again, and I guess hope it works out or be bad enough for Winston.

I dunno. If we lose out and the Jaguars win two more games then we're right there in the mix. Only need the Cows to beat two more teams and then us, which I'm sure they will.

The fear of other teams wanting him when he is cut is why I could see some owners wanting to make a trade. We have to admit that people like Jerry Jones, or heck even Jim Irsay would pull the trigger on the trade and then mitigate the cap hit as much as possible till a re-worked contract can be made for that first year. I could actually see Jim Irsay saying we will give you Trent Richardson for Chris Johnson and his contract. It's sounds out there but some of these owners will do desperate and crazy things to win.

I think this team is very similar to the position both San Francisco and Kansas City were in recently before both teams changed head coaches. We have a talented roster one of the main things holding us back is proper leadership at the head coach position and a good QB.

I don't think there's any way the Titans pick up Locker's option. No brainier. But that doesn't mean he'll be released because he's cheap next season and the Titans can do another deal or tag him after '14.

CJ should have never been given his deal to begin with. I see little likelihood he's on the roster next season.

Munch needs to finish the season 3-0 or I suspect he's gone but I don't see him being fired before the end of the season.

Cutler gets tagged if he doesn't work out a new deal in Chicago.

    1. Can Munch? Agree wholeheartedly.
    2. Cut CJ? Agree wholeheartedly.
    3. Not pick up Locker's option? Agree wholeheartedly. Allow him to play next year, and franchise or re-work at that point.

    4. Chase Cutler? No.

Cutler isn't worth the kind of money he's going to demand.

I'd much rather see us draft a rookie QB (I'd go Murray in the second) and let Locker have one more year, then see where we are at that point.
