I don't think people remember just how bad he was as a coordinator. I know some dick hole is going to come in and cite that ONE year with AH, and that guy can go **** himself.

    Schwartz was pretty real bad.

Watching the Lions defense last night was great. Fairley and Suh were jumping offsides like they were the 2007 version of Haynesworth and Tony Brown. Same lack of defensive discipline that we saw during his tenure as DC.

What are the chances the Titans look at Jim Schwartz as the HC in 2014?

I know its a loooong shot but looks like the Lions are gunna axe him if he doesn't make the post season yet again.

When you look at how the Titans seem to get the warm, fuzzy feeling whenever they can bring in an "old-friend" back to the franchise - then this has to at least be an option ...

I am totally against this but just throwing it out there ...

I think the preference for the Oiler/Titans connection was coming from Bud. He was more comfortable hiring people he knew well. Munch sold him on taking the team back to the Oiler glory days.

I think Tommy Smith and Ruston Webster will conduct business very differently. There won't be any propensity for hiring inside the "family".

Smith is a good coach who took a team to a super bowl despite having a backup caliber QB.

As for Smith being run oriented show us the stats that proves that. He is less run oriented than David Shaw or Greg Roman.

Anybody who would mention Norv turner or Scott Linnehan need to consider themselves disqualified from this discussion. Who wants a a coach with a sub 500 record?

But they are supposedly offensive minded so somehow they get a mention. How dumb!

Norv turner took some of the most talented teams in the league and went 8-8 with them. Anybody that would mention his name has to be clueless about football.

David Shaw and Greg Roman should be the top 2 people on any list. Those should be the primary interviews. Lovie Smith should also be on that short list. It depends on what you want and who gets hired first if we act slow. Also depends on the defense. Shaw and Roman will likely bring in a 3-4 guy and smith will keep to the 4-3.

I want a top 10 defense every year like the Ravens and Steelers. The 49ers and Seahawks are winning with defense and a running game!
