If the season ended today the Titans would have the 9th draft pick which is the same as the week before. So the Jags win did not hurt us in terms of draft spot.

Looking at the draft rankings the worst we can pick with a win over the Texans appears to be 14th. More than likely we would pick around 11th or 12th even with a win over the Texans because I would think that the Steelers would beat the Browns, the Giants would beat the Skins, and the Lions would beat the Vikings.

really? you really think that we would still be 9th having lost to the jags...who would have had the same record as us and swept us you think we would still be picking behind them....your math is off...

losing hurt our draft stock... we would be picking 6th right now with the loss..with a chance at a top 3 pick if we lose to the texans.

Do we hold the tiebreaker over Buffalo and NYG? They are both 6-9 also...

If we win vs Houston, we could be as far back as 15. With a loss, the highest we can be is #9. C'mon #9!

Maybe at McNairs # we can get another franchise QB? #dream

    1. Houston - Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville
    2. STL (f Wash) - Jake Matthews, OT, TX A&M
    3. Jacksonville - Johnny Manziel, QB, TX A&M
    4. Oakland - Anthony Barr, OLB, UCLA
    5. Cleveland - Derek Carr, QB, Fresno St
    6. Atlanta - Jadeveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina
    7. Tampa - Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson
    8. Minnesota - Blake Bortles, QB, UCF
    9. Tennessee - (CJ Mosley, #2 OT, Darqueze Dennard, Khalil Mack, Louis Nix, HaHa Clinton-Dix, or Kony Ealy)

We're given multiple options. Two impact LBs sit on the board. Potential starting RT, future LT. Verner replacement, if we let him walk. A run stopping DT to pair with Casey. Starting safety, Pollard/Griff replacement. Potential elite pass rushing DE. Take your pick.

Regarding the draft... Houston opts for a franchise QB. STL takes the top tackle prospect, as their line is still crap. Jacksonville opts for the "big name" QB, to help with media attention. Oakland I was iffy with, taking Carr/Bortles could be an option. They instead opt for a passrusher, I think Barr will surprise Clowney during the combine. Cleveland opts for a franchise QB. ATL gets the pass rushers they've needed. Tampa gets a true #2 WR to pair with V-JAX, giving Glennon another year. Minny gets a franchise QB.

There is no way that we would have had a chance at a top 3 pick if we lost to JAX. Oakland, Cleveland, Tampa Bay, Atlanta, and Minnesota would all have to basically beat playoff teams and we still wouldn't have tiebreakers over all those teams.

I will be shocked if the Texans don't take a QB. Why wouldn't they? They aren't going to pay Schaub 10mil next yr and no new coach is going to say that Case Keenum has shown them enough to be the man. If you have the 1st pick and you don't have a franchise QB then you take a QB.

If we had beaten the Jags then we would be tied with them and a coin flip would decide who was 8th or who was 9th.

The point is that we were 9th last week and we are still 9th. Also just pointing out that even if we beat the Texans we most likely will be 11th or 12th. We can't fall past 14th because the Rams have the tiebeaker because their strength of schedule is so much better than ours.

We are going to be in a good position to get an impact defensive player, OT, or QB. Although not exciting taking an OT to replace Stewart this yr and then swing to LT when Roos is done might be the best thing.

Says who? Manziel puts people in the seats. Jag fans need somebody to be excited and root for. Johnny Football will provide national media attention, which the Jags need bad. Don't be foolish, it's a real possibility.

Texans are taking a QB. They're not paying Schuab big money. They have a new coach coming, new coach = new QB. There isn't any great QBs in FA. Cutler will be in CHI. Cousins isn't anything. Who else is there? They're drafting a QB.
