    Interesting post from PK.

tl;dr= If we lose Sunday and Buffalo pulls an upset over New England we could draft 9th. That's the best case scenario as far as draft position goes. However, if we win we could potentially drop as far as 16th.

Interested to hear opinions from the "I never, ever, ever want my team to lose" camp in this scenario. That's a hell of a (potential) drop for one meaningless win with zero playoff implications. And it could be the difference is us getting one of the top playmakers in the draft or ending up with a "Derrick Morgan pick".

I'm in that camp. 9th pick vs 16th. I've been preaching this: Doesn't matter to me. There isn't that big of a drop off if you are picking BPA. You can find playmaker studs in the second. The chances of nailing or busting a draft pick doesn't change that much between the picks. You can still end up taking a pick at 8 and bust just like you could at number 16.

Locker pick vs Morgan pick is a pretty good example of this. Arguably Morgan has produced much more for us than Locker has and he was a later pick. The new mantra should be:

"The number doesn't matter! Scouting does!" End of story.

I still think we lose. I predicted Jags win, Texans loss weeks ago. They match up well with us even thought they're awful.

Sure. You can make a bad pick at any spot. But the difference between 9th and 16th is 7 players being off the board. 7 players who just might be at the top of the Titans board. One meaningless win could cost us the guy the FO really wants.

I just don't get it. But I guess some of you don't get why anyone would want their team to lose either.

Is it just me, or am I the only one who gets more excited about 2nd round picks more than 1st round picks?

I actually couldn't care less if we don't make the top 10 this year. Outside of Clowney, I will survive.

IDK, the Texans seem to have really mailed it in.

Well, when you're a Titans fan I guess it is kind of tough to get excited about first round picks. lol

Draft position this year won't bother me in the first round. I think there's more value in the middle to late picks in the first round this year. No QB gets me excited and that's who I really wanted to draft, but not at the expense of getting one in the top 10.
