The reason i ask this is in six years he has nearly 8,000 yards rushing at 4.5 yards per carry and has never missed a game in his entire career here.He has been very durable and not to mention the last few running backs this team picked were busts in Javon Ringer and Jamie Harper.

Yes on the negative side he does seem to carry for 1 or 2 yards too much before busting a huge gain which does raise his average quite a bit.He does seem like he goes down easily once he meets contact from the defense and doesn't really fight for extra yards.

If we do get a new coordinator chances are they could do some things to his strength like getting him out in the open field and maybe using him more in the passing game.We also have to realize that he is and has been our only real weapon on offense.

I'd love to bring in a really good back early like Bishop Sankey or a good bruiser in the Frank Gore vein that we know will fight and get those yards especially in third down situations.

Bottom line should we keep or move on from Chris Johnson???

Cut him, cut him, cut him!

He can't be relied on. Ever since his reps have been guaranteed with that monster contract, he's mailed it in almost every game.

    CJ has no heart.

    1. Cut.
    2. Keep w/ significant contract restructure.

Those should be the only two options on the table. And he's already said he won't restructure, so.....

so F him and his wobbly little head.

Get him out, he's stale and stinks.

Any mid-round RB will be better.

    Cut him.

As JCB said, any mid-round RB will put up the same production.

If CJ only got paid 1 Mil this year and then 1 Mil next year, would you still be screaming for him to be cut?

LMAO. I am literally laughing right now.

Of course he could stay for $1mil. Money is the whole issue here.

exactly. its all money. like it or not he is still a good player. for the right price any team would want him.

It's hard to say that any mid-round RB would have the same production when he's only the 6th player in history to have 1,000 yard seasons his first six years in the league, joined by the likes of Barry Sanders, Erik Dickerson, Curtin Martin, LT, and Corey Dillon.

Is he worth what he's being paid now? I don't think so. Should we keep him if he's not willing to take a pay cut? No. I think he'll find out that 3-4 Mil/year, if that, is all he'll get in free agency.

That's what I'm saying. I think some people moreso have a problem with his paycheck versus his production.
