There is no way that any head coach with any sense would accept all those changes imo.

How would Munch coming back here going to be successful if they have locker forced on them, and have to have a mindset of a power running game with the run blocking this line had (thats not changing, except a tackle possibly) and our RB's.

It was a no win situation and Munch's hands were tied. If anything, I would say that Webster looked shocked because Munch said screw it, move on without me.

This was a saving face effort by Webster and TS and it worked. Everyone still loves Webster, and are now slobbering over TS. The fans bought it, hook, line, sinker.


Coaches be damned... I do NOT like the fact that Webster has already wants Locker the starter in 2014 and that they are dedicated to building a power running team. My hope is that they are blowing smoke.

 

That was kind of my thought. I'm not huge on Greg Roman, probably wouldn't be my first choice, but he makes sense for the current regime.

 

So you'd rather keep the mediocre team as it is rather than get a new coach with new ideas and new philosophy. Something this organization has NEVER seen in its entire existence...I would feel as you do if Munch had stayed on for his final year.

 

So in a passing league... our FO fired a coach because his OC didn't run enough?

The playoffs are on. Tell me how many of these teams are "running teams". Tennessee... where being 10 years behind in mindset is a disease that affects ALL things.

Yes the NFL is developing into a more pass heavy league but you still need to be able to run the ball and that was the Titans goal this year, so you can see why they were disappointed. Worried that Smith wants to go back to Fisherball but right now I have confidence they'll make the right hire.
