Unless his official height turns out to be closer to 6-0 than 6-1 I don't think his height will be that big a deal. Projections are all over the place, from late 1st to 5th. I honestly think most teams had him at a 2nd-3rd round grade and I'm not sure the injury will have a big impact if he can throw at Georgias pro-day.

When was the last time a sub 6 foot guy went in the first?

Take this for what you may, but he's a poor mans Matt Ryan. There's things to like, but I'm not sure he's cerebral enough to take over games. I'm concerned about his height because he doesn't change levels to release the ball.

murray returned for his senior year and it benefited him as far as being more well rounded quarterback, minus the acl injury, he would of went in top 10-15 range i think. aj is a qb that has talent but it all depends on if the gm/coach thinks he was a product of being surrounded by talented players. Smith from wyoming though would be the gem of the draft as far as late round qb's if i had to throw a guess on a guy-----

that being said, this is all personal preference and hopes until we know who are head coach is going to be

I want to find that traditional passing QB. Tired of having a run-first QB w/ an awful arm. I don't think we go QB at #11, but see it in play with our 2nd. So i'm looking alot at AJ McCarron, Jimmy Garoppolo, Zach Mettenberger, and David Fales.

Hate his delivery but I kinda like him too. Looking at his 7 toughest games - North Carolina, UGA, Vandy, FLorida, Missou, Clemson, and Wisconsin - Shaw averaged the following stats:

    16.8/26 for 65%; 220 ypg; 8.5 ypa; 2 TDs (1 per 13 pass attempts) and 0 INTs (0 INTs in 182 attempts).

    Those are extremely good numbers.

I like Fales from San Jose State. He has great touch on his throws and doesn't get happy feet like Carr when he is blitzed. He stands in the pocket and delivers the football. Because an NFL team will be much more talented than San Jose State, I really think he could blossom into a good QB.

Yea. This guy in the second could really be a steal.

Looking at this highlight video of Fales I'm a little worried. Seems like a one read/one half QB, doesn't go through progressions and doesn't scan the full field. If anyone has a never video of him I'd appreciate it.
