Man I miss the old CJ. Remember when he would always say he was homeless because of the saying "go hard or go home", all he knew was to go hard... He hasn't said that publicly or on twitter or anywhere since 2010

somebody go rob CJ so he'll report for work hungry and determined

Especially considering the 4 people he mentioned... only one of them has significantly more carries than him (McCoy)

He has the same number as SP and has more than one of the guys he mentioned. And the other one, only has 10 more carries than CJ had.

CJ is 6th in rushing attempts.... feed him more... feed him more.......

I'm a CJ guy but I'd cut him in a heartbeat for Tre Mason. Kid is a freaking horse.

I would do the exact same thing. No need to cut him now. We don't need the cap space yet. I'd let the agent know your plan. Give him a decent incentive laden contract and see if he is willing to renegotiate his deal. If he isn't then hold on to him until final cuts and let his agent see what sort of deal he can get for CJ then. It is a business and a tough one at that. The Titans FO actually hold the cards in this game. CJ can say he won't redo his deal, but not many guys who get cut at the end of training camp sign big $$$ deals.

At this point, he can go away. I hate the thought of getting nothing for him, but hold onto him until June 1st, then kick his a$$ out the door. He's only going to be a locker room distraction next year.

That said, if our new HC comes in and feels he can really get him going and design a playbook to do so, you have to keep him.

It is a business fellas! It takes money to make money and Tommy Smith knows it. CJ has been the only thing worth watching in Tennessee for years, even on his down years. He will be back, I just hope we cut Greene and sign MJD to pair with CJ! We would have a pair of divas, but it would be nasty!

Wow, really can't believe so many would cut one of the best backs in the league. Stupidity at its finest. Look at his production again...analyze it...then see where he ranks. Especially when he is removed from the game when he is rolling. Unbelievable. And it's not just the "cut him" stupidity, it's the blatant disrespect and hateful comments. Guess it's easy to say stupid crap like that over the internet.

Johnson isn't terrible. But he is no longer a feature back. You need 2 good RB's in this league nowadays. Depending on how we spend the money I would not be opposed to cutting CJ. But we'd better draft a RB in the 2nd round if we cut CJ and we better spend the money saved to upgrade the DL/OL.
