One of the greatest OLinemen in history. One of the few Titans players I can be proud of, through and through. He sucks as a coach.. but most great players do, if they even tried.

He had 2 (or 3 if you count legit ones) more Pro Bowl seasons in Tennessee than McNair did!!! and played many less seasons in TN.

It's close for me but I think it boils down to the harder of the two positions to play well.

    VY on list - check

Blaine Bishop not on list - makes sense

Blaine Bishop suggested we sign Mike Vick, that alone should be enough to keep him off this list.

Qb may be harder to play well, but Matthews played every position on the line for a long time, and at a higher level than Mcnair played his whole career (2003 may be the exception.) McNair has 1999, 2003 as his real lone legs to stand on, here. Mcnair would have had to have been great from 1999 straight thru 2005 for me to really consider him anything more than a fan-favorite, but not an all-time great.

There was never a year that Air was the best QB in the league. Even in 2003, they wouldn't give him the title by himself.

well back then Vick was pretty good so there's nothing wrong with that statement

I'm following your logic but I thought the poll was for "Greatest Titan". To me, that eliminates everything up to the '99 season. Bruce was still playing well but was on the backside of his career, IMO.

I just don't see the Titans being anything close to what they were from '99 to '03 without McNair. But the same can be said of Eddie in '99 and '00.

I voted McNair.... But it was a toughie between him, Eddie, Matthews, and Wycheck. Ol' Bruce was a helluva lineman, regardless of how bad he sucks as a coach, he was a great player.
