I had to vote for "Man Up."

Be honest with people. Let it be well known that the NFL is bad for your health, like many jobs.

Make everyone sign a waiver, and if they don't want to sign, they don't play. MMA, UFC, boxing, etc. all operate, while being extremely dangerous.

You CAN'T Make football not injurious to health.

Just let the players sign their life away, then business as usual.

There are thousands of people working today in the USA, who have a significant risk of being seriously injured at work. I don't see why the NFL has to keep backing down, while Boxing, Professional Wrestling, and all the other types of real fighting tend to not get the flak.

Who would have thought that repeated blows to the head and concussions would hurt the brain??? durrrrrrrrrr.

    Man up.

I got a kick out of Jahvid Best suing the NFL for his career ending because of concussions this past week. That guy had an AWFUL concussion when he was at Cal.

Man up.. no one's forcing you to play, you know the risks, you get paid very well for those risks. Shut up or quit.

There is a reason that 3/4 of NFL players are uneducated kids from the street, and not just because they are superior athletes (which is true.) Smart people know better, and have more foresight, than to put themselves constantly in harms way. Idiots only think about their present and immediate future. (See: VY)

I do think that the law suit from the retired players over concussions was legitimate. The NFL obviously denied that concussions had adverse long-term effects. There's no denying they covered that up. They should have been sued over that.

The consequences of that lawsuit are the rule changes we see now. To avoid more lawsuits and losing more money the NFL has to cover it's ass now. This could have been all avoided had Tagliabue taken this issue seriously and handled it properly.

Yeah. they should have come forward with the obvious conclusion that football can have long-term effects. But it is an occupational hazard.. instead of sweeping it under the rug.

The NFL has to do something. This is going to swell into a Blackfish deal for the league.
It's a culture of lying and exploitation rooted in deep amounts of money.
"Man up" is just stupid in any entertainment context..
You don't have to kill the bull..

Ive always said - make the players wear the equipment and that would be enough.

In 2013 the NFL FINALLY made players wear leg pads. So now you will find all of the following as requirements in the rule book; helmet, shoulder pads, thigh pads, knee pads.

But notice no mention of a mouthpiece or chin strap.... Yea believe it or not but the NFL does not force everyone to wear a mouthpiece or to even strap their chin strap.

The only thing you'll find in the rule book about chin straps, are that one must be attached to the helmet. But nowhere does it say it has to be buckled.
