Chance will be a great guard for us. He needs to lose a little fat to increase his quickness getting to the second level though. I have a feeling he, the coaches, and our strength and conditioning coach know it too. Just 10 lbs of fat coming off can make a pretty big difference in quickness for a lineman.

Long term yes I believe he will prove to be a great pick, but so far hes struggled to justify picking him at 10

It's always easy to look back on a draft a year later and say "woulda, coulda, shoulda ..." but going back to look at the results ...

    Titans @ 10 - Warmack.

The Raiders take D.J. Hayden @ 12 which is a worse pick IMO.

However the Jets @ 13 got a major steal when you go back and look at Sheldon Richardson D and what he was able to accomplish his rookie year.

Kenny Vaccaro Safety from the Saints @ 15 woulda been nice even with his injuries in his rookie campaign. That way if Pollard were to walk wed still have a young, up-and-coming safety for the next handful of years.

Then you look at QB E.J. Manuel @ 16 ... and ehh I dont even wanna go there.

So bottom line if you could go back and re-draft, Richardson in the middle with Casey and Morgan on the ends in the new 3-4 defense would look pretty steady on paper.

oh great we're comparing ourselves to the Raiders now

And no not woulda shoulda coulda. Me and at least 4 others wanted a DT or DE at 10 and a Guard in the 2nd. The best rookie Guard was taken in the 3rd. And worse than that it was the guy taken in the 3rd was the same guy I mocked to us in the 2nd.

Well then they needa start drafting better up their in the Titans war room - until then all we can do is "*****" about how bad they miss year in and year out

You'd think these NFL teams may glance or skim at the very least what experts and many others "mock" team by team - just to get some kind of a feel - yet no one ever seems close to mocking the Titans right. When 3 big names are left on the board with the Titans coming up - you can bet your bottom dollar they will pick a guy mocked 2 1/2 rounds later.

I wanted Cooper but after AZ took him before us I wanted Star Lotulelei. Jarvis Jones and Alec Ogletree also would have been nice. Hopefully Chance will step it up and prove to be the right pick.

I wanted Lotulelei. Basically I would have accepted any top defensive prospect at #10, but Lotulelei was who I wanted.

He was clearly a big contributor to the Panthers defense which went from awful to #2 all the sudden.

If this team had just called me up in 2011 and 2013 we would be sitting pretty with Robert Quinn and Star Lotulelei. Instead we got Locker and Warmack. Oh well.

The man played every offensive snap this year as a rookie. Only Roos can say the same on the offensive side of the ball.
