Still waiting for everyone who is complaining about the signing to list other better options available in FA. I just don't see them unless you want to re-sign Otto for cheap.

It's not as if they change the algorithms for the other tackles. Had Levitre rated as a below average run blocker before we picked him up and from what I can tell, that is exactly what we got.

We just downgraded from a battered Stewart. Hopefully, something clicks with Oher and he starts playing quality football again. He had a pretty decent rookie season. Frees us up in draft is the only tangible silver lining here.

I wasn't implying that they did change the algorithms. My point it just that this is a grading system that they invented, for business/monetary purposes. It certainly can be used as a means for evaluating talent. But it should not be treated as gospel as it all too often is. That's my only point.

Do you think NFL coaches and GMs sit around logging on to PFF to determine whether or not they should sign/release a guy? Obviously they do not.

Somehow I doubt that. Stewart's gonna be 32 when the season starts and is "battered" as you said. Dude's done. Oher at least has some gas left in the tank and just might flourish in a new system/environment. Let's be real here. We couldn't really do much worse than what we were getting out of Big Country recently.

Oher started 90 out of 90 games in Baltimore. Can't ask for more If the coaching staff hadn't moved him around so much he would've had a chance to really settle into one role. And he always says and does the right thing. Good signing.

This. I like reading their stuff but people have started taking that site as a primary source. The site doesn't take into account so many variables.

Stewart was ineffective due to his shoulder and ankle injuries...he overcompensated with his pure physical style and ultimately ended up with personal fouls that cost us. He was not the player he was a couple years ago.

Maybe the new coaches will do something with everyone on this Oline and get better play out of them. I am not particularly fond of the Oher signing...but I hope the coaches can get the best out of him.

So we cut CJ to overpay for someone else? Yet you guys on here are stoked. If CJ reworked his contract to something like this to stay in Tennessee you guys would be pissed. I can't get over how many double standards you guys have.
