I agree with this except overall id say with the loss of verner we are slightly worse going into next season.

That's just players though because we have better coaching for sure

IMO, it all depends on how our draft goes. We have added depth and excellent coaching, now they just need at least a few pieces to get over last year if coaching doesn't do that alone. We got better hands down.

Verner's biggest weaknesses are some things that he cannot improve: Size and speed.

With that said, his game does not have the potential to improve much. It can only get worse.

With all of that in mind I still wish we could have kept him.

Agreed, I liked Verner..but he doesn't fit the new scheme....That is the main reason they let him walk..Believe that.

He fits the Tampa scheme very well though.

Dex - will help in the punt game. If Leon gets injured, that won't be a problem at all with Dex. It remains to be seen how dangerous he can be with Whiz calling the shots as an RB/OW. He can easily outperform his contract if he steps up and Whiz keeps it interesting.

Al Woods - most definitely my favorite signing and for cheap. He can play in either 3-4 or 4-3 and I think can be the best signing (effective wise, not stat wise). I think he will make people around him much better.

Oher - i'm still very skeptical about this guy. i'd also feel MUCH more confident if we still had Munch as OL coach. I think he could make this kid (with all they physical skills in the world) realize his potential. As is now though, im worried. also, people saying he's better than Stewy is HARDLY an accomplishment, if you actually watched this team for the past two years, you'd know Stewy was disgraceful.

Wes - If you ask me, we already have 2 guys who can cover in Brown and Gooden (or at least built that way). I wanted a thumping LB who can shed and tackle to pair with Brown @ ILB. Woody and Brown don't excel @ shedding and tackling, and without a true space eater like Vince/Raji I worry.

Clipboard - I'm actually OK with him over Fitz. At this point a game manager can't help us (I'd rather get a higher draft pick if Jake continues to disappoint - whether that be with his lack of accuracy or continuous injuries). Let's see what this guy can do if he starts. Also, if he sucks, we'd get to see Wilson in action maybe. So that also could be exciting.

It was an OK offseason I guess. Coulda been worse, but also coulda been better...

Brown may be fast and agile, but he can't cover.

Truth. I put it on coaching though. Teaching a guy who is that physically gifted how to cover is not all that hard. It's not like he has to cover like a corner.

One of our biggest weaknesses on d has been defending tes. Woodyard will help us in the area big time, good signing. Oher, no question is an improvement over the aging and broken down stewart. Mccluster, is a guy that whiz wanted for his "woodhead" role and will be a big improvement in the return game. Also I think mccluster will be even better than woodhead. Don't know much about woods, but we've had good luck signing no name dlinemen and getting production out of them. The only notable loss thus fsr is vener and honestly it's not that big of a loss to me. For what he provided, coty and/or blidi will make him hardly missed and as stated before he has already hit his ceiling. Overall its looking pretty good so far. Still have a little dead weight and some wholes to fill before the draft.
