I agree. CJ has no interest in remaining a Titan. That should be obvious by now due to things like this.

IDK if you saw the latest Whisenhunt interview but upon signing McCluster he didn't mention CJ's name when talking about the Titans weapons for 2014.

Why would he? Seriously, even if Whiz wanted him badly, CJ doesn't want to stay. That eliminates even considering keeping him imo. Especially when we could save 4 million by letting him go. It's best for the Titans and CJ to move on at this point.

Every one talks about how CJ wants to win so bad but all I hear from him is money talks. Nothing about going to a team to contend.

He just wants to get paid and do his 9-5.

He's the dude that claimed that he was every coaches dream, except now no coach wants him...

I could see him going to Miami or Browns honestly. Hahah CJ on the Browns actually made me LOL

Or maybe he does want to win but doesn't believe this team will be winning anything, any time soon. That's what Verner thinks. They're both wrong though.

I do think CJ has a fair amount left in the tank. He looked like he hadn't lost a step (or much of one) in the Chiefs game. However, he doesn't fight for the tough yards. And you can't rely on a RB who can ONLY break the big one. He has to go because of the ridiculous contract

Nobody to blame here. Nobody at fault except there was one opportunity (below) in which management could have avoided our situation. This situation is just the product of a poorly constructed contract. Titans SHOULD have reworked his contract during his second year (?) when we could have front loaded the contract and AVOIDED the cap hit that year before the CBA got worked out. But Bud elected not do that. CJ could have got his money and we could have had nearly zero impact on the cap.

Where did Verner make such a quote..or express he feels that way? Please don't say this was based on him signing with another team..

It wasn't because he signed with another team. He said something to that effect after he signed with the Bucs though. Posters on here were talking about it. I can search through the threads if you really want to but I'm hoping you'll do it lol.
