You're missing the point, again. We aren't disliking him because he got paid. We are disliking him because AFTER getting paid the money he deserved, his performance to paid ratio was unbalanced. He was not worthy of making that much money,

An assistant Vice President of a company works his ass off like a Vice President. His company makes him Vice President and thus gets paid like one. His work ethic continues for a year or two making that money.

Then year three, he only does what is expected of an assistant VP again. This happens for two or so years.

You really think a company wouldn't reprimand this guy/fire him/ demote him? Of course this VP won't come out and say "Hey guys, I have been slacking. You should take away from of my pay and demote me." No. His peers voice their concerns and his bosses over look his performance and make the appropriate adjustments. At that level even investors have a say.

We as fans are those investors. We have every right to call out poor spending and bad decisions that concern our goals.

I don't get how this concept is hard to understand.

Why do you guys let TWW2 to turn every thread into a CJ thread? He does it on purpose.

    Don't give him the satisfaction.

Yeah, come on guys. This thread is about discussing another big name free agent. Not rehashing the old :cj: debate.

Why in the world would we spend that much money at a position where there is no need? We could have someone like Wilfork at a position of need for cheaper than $10 million.

Schwenke had such a great rookie year there's no way I would be happy with the Titans if they tried to upgrade at center rather than spending that money towards other positions of need, such as cb, dl, de, rb.

My beef was the holdout. We all knew CJ would get a big contract. Dogs knew it. They said he'd be the highest paid RB regardless. He should have showed up.
He no-showed in game one and The Titans lost to The Hags 16-14. The Hags...
Titans win that game and they are 10-6 and in the playoffs (9 win Bengals take the last spot).
Don't care if it's CJ, Mack or freaking Eddie George - ya lame if you aren't ready for game one over money..

You wouldn't restructure to stay with a team that hasn't made the playoffs since 2008.

Of course I would, thats how you get back to the playoffs, by spreading the wealth and not sinking it in one rotting RB.

If Im CJ I'd see that and wake up.
