I have no problem having leftover cap room if we re-sign Casey & Wright. Must be done.

Why are people so anxious to lock up Kendall Wright? He's only played 2 years and has another 2 years on his contract.

He's also due half a million dollar roster bonus soon, let him live off that for another year. I like what Ive seen from him but lets not pretend he's amazing.

Same for Jurrell Casey, he may not even workout as a DE in a 3-4. I wouldn't bet against him, but lets wait and see how he does with Ray Horton.

If the plan is to save now and carry over the savings to 2015 ok cool, but we can extend Wright and Casey just as easily down the line after they've proven to be what we're all hoping they are.

At this moment, theres no Titans player I'd give more money to.

I'd lock up Wright, dude has been a baller since he got here. Morgan might also be worth a nice extension.

I didn't notice him from 2010-first half of 2012. Since then he's really hit his stride. Hopefully in the 3-4 defense he'll turn those "almost sacks" into actual sacks. Morgan is easily our best pass rusher.

I think the best argument for keeping CJ is that we only have 6 draft picks this year. If you cut your RB, you're creating another hole you have to fill in the draft, when your picks are already limited.

I reject Paul's argument that it's not "wise spending" to keep CJ. I hate the notion of saving money, just for the sake of saving money. If holding onto CJ and paying him what he's due, lets you use a draft pick elsewhere, I think that constitutes as "wise spending" regardless of how well CJ performs (he was still 3rd in the AFC in rushing last year). If he isn't having a good game, I don't think Whis will be as determined to keep him in the game as Munchak was. We already have Greene, McCluster, and Battle on the roster as well. If CJ has a bad game, perhaps one of those 3 could get the running game going.

I'd personally like to see CJ in an offense with someone calling plays that actually knows what they're doing. Let's face it, for the past 3 years CJ has had to run plays with Palmer & Loggins calling plays. It just didn't work.

Until KHALIL MACK COMES TO TOWN!

We need some upgrades at the de as well I would love to see a defense with both Mack and Dee Ford, would like to go defense in this draft sorry to admit. There is so much more talent on the defensive side of the ball in this years draft (IMO).

I wish more people would understand this. Everyone says it's bad to spend money for the sake of spending it. It's also bad to save money for the sake of saving it. If we're not going to use the money we save by cutting CJ wisely, I'd rather just keep him. Even if we pay him 8 million to get 5 touches a game, that's better than getting no touches a game and having 8 million sitting there doing nothing. From a monetary viewpoint an owner wouldn't agree with me, but if you want the best chance to win every Sunday, having an overpaid player is better than not having him at all and sitting on the money.

The time to spend money has come and gone. Aside from extending a player or two, there's nothing left to spend on. We should have cut him two months ago and used the money to lock up Vern or a big free agent. Unless you think CJ is a cancer, we're better off keeping him now.

Not that I disagree too much, Morgan is solid, but now you'll have to deal with the Hate Brigade (scarecrow & fry).
