Kaepernick and Dalton aren't in the same universe in terms of overall value. Kaepernick's upside is off the charts. The touchdown pass he threw to Anquan Boldin in the NFC Championship game is a play I don't know that any other QB in football can make. Kaepernick is still ascending. Dalton has plateaued.

I would have no problem giving Kaepernick his $18M per season.

I swear, its been so long since the Titans have had a good QB that everyone around here is forgetting what a good QB actually looks like. It doesn't look like Andy Dalton.

The market for QBs has clearly fell in on itself. I think Romo gets a bad rap, he is a capable QB......but Cutler......

thats the guy that ****ed up the market.

LOL the fans expect wins with kaepernick or wilson because they have the 2 best defenses in the nfl not because of the qb. You can say bronco fans expect to win because of legitimate QB, or even Saints, Packers, Cowboys, or Colts but come on don't say that Kaepernick is going to steal a game, he has stars surrounding him. It's the same sort of argument as saying that a player like Dennis Rodman would have been great on any team..

Romo is a regular season warrior. Not worth the money because he doesn't do it in the playoffs.

yea, but its been SO long since he has been to the playoffs.

I am in the minority that a great QB, still isn't going to carry your team.

Read this thread. It's been covered.

    If you need a recap:

    1) Limited athletic upside. Poor arm strength.

    2) Plays his worst in big games.

Funny enough, Kaepernick is the exact opposite.

LOL - I swear the parrots here keep a squawkin..
Dalton's arm strength concern has been dispelled for some time.
For limited "athletic upside" he sure has put up some damn good numbers and taken a team that never makes to the playoffs to three straight playoffs - one in each of his three years in the league. And he's breaking pretty much all of the team's major seasonal passing marks..
The playoff games were as much an issue of Gruden's poor game-planning as anything Dalton did. They abandoned the run, the opposing defenses broke the line and the receivers were smothered. Keep in min one of these playoffs Dalton was still a rookie, and the next a second year..

Exactly which QB outside of maybe Manning and Rodgers is going to win despite that scenario?
    Hmm?

To say Dalton is scrub is absolutely absurd..
