I used to think that you had to have a high draft RB...not anymore. I say draft them or sign them on the cheap, use them like rented horses and then get another one. Spend the $$$$ on a franchise QB (we don't have one), and DL, LB to put the QB on his ass.

.... Now. Use perspective... you can do it!

How many yards was he supposed to get on VERY few carries per game? Any time he'd have a good run, they'd put CJ's tard ass back in the game.

Not only that, his YPC is extremely deceiving due to short 3rd, 4th, and goal line carries.

Sometimes you have to look past the numbers. Shonn Greene ran exceptionally well last year.. and probably wasn't healthy.

dude, greene is not good. He's not a short yardage back, he's not good. maybe getting the main load will change that, but there's no way you can say you saw.a good back when he was in. cj was much better than greene was last year. I really hope we draft a back, now.that cj is officially gone we.need a smashmouth runner.

I think we'll end up taking a 2nd or 4th round RB. Hopefully Hyde in the 2nd.

Hyde, Green, DMC would be a solid trio of backs.

wouldn't mind greene being a part of a 3 back system, but do not want to see him being our "guy"

I think that is part of the problem... thinking a running back is a team's guy. They exist, but so many teams have more than one guy at running back.

I think that teams lean more on a multi rb system because they are few and far between. Very few guys that play in the league today can carry the load for a team on their own. We now don't have a guy on our team that can carry the load like we had in eddie. We have to go the multi rb system now. I really don't like greene, but I could be wrong. We need to draft a guy. I would like for us to have a power back (don't have) for short yardage, scat back (mccluster) for 3rd down and a back that can make big plays.

Greene isn't a short yardage back?...

Well. I've never seen you here, but I hope you read posts by others and learn a lot! Welcome to football!

He got stuffed constantly on short yardage situations. Did you not watch any games, he did the same thing in ny. This guy is built like one but is not one, his short yardage stats aren't good at all. Idc what someone posts watch the game and you will see that I'm right.

*sigh* there are specific numbers that say he is in fact a very good short yardage back.

    You're trying too hard here.

"Eleven times Shonn Greene ran the ball on third down and three or less, and 11 times that resulted in a first down." (last season with Jets)

    Don't talk from your ass.
