Well he has been injured. He managed to play through a torn meniscus. Pretty incredible as well.

I know the difference lol. However between writing a paper, working, and arguing with you guys on here all at the same time, it is pretty easily to forget to hyphenate something correctly.

That is an absurd untrue statement. He didn't run out of bounds or go down at the slightest touch anymore than he did in his previous years. In fact the last game of the year that didn't mean anything I recall CJ carrying like 8 or 9 defenders.

The point is that you shouldn't be calling people stupid.

CJ always kept his feet moving, but not churning.

RBs who run hard have to plant their cleats to 'break tackles' and that is where injuries really happen. If CJ couldn't run around or by, then he was taken down very easily because his feet weren't planted. (he's also quite flexible too, so that helped when he got folded up from time to time).

When D's stopped over-pursing and stayed in their lanes, he got figured out.

However, earlier in his career he was a better runner, no doubt. His vision seemed better and he didn't have happy/dancing feet, always looking for the big run.

I still think he is fast enough to be a good back, but he simply wasn't the same dude as before (again, not just speed wise). The last couple years, he's been extremely indecisive and I recall many runs where he LEFT A LOT of yards on the field.

Also, earlier on, when he was trying to get paid, he'd surprise by 'running hard' here and there to keep defenders honest and he basically stopped doing that as well. He never over-powered people, but he'd like burst into defenders with speed (and some power) and he'd bounce off them.

I think now since he's not getting 8m a year, he'll become more like before in terms of running style. But still, it remains to be seen if his vision returns and his happy/dancing feet go away. How well the Jets' o-line plays (and offensive creativity) will also play a sizable role if he returns to form.

He still does that from time to time. Especially near the goalline. But if he did that the entire season he wouldn't be as durable b/c his body frame doesn't support that style of running. Once again hate on his style not him.

If he runs better this year it has NOTHING to do with effort. It has everything to do with scheme and creativity.

Now we are talking! He avoids contact like the plague...Last year was the icing on the cake dude, I couldn't take it. I watched that D bag point fingers and get the front office to rebuild the whole damn line, only to fall before first contact and average 3.9 ypc. Then he had the nerve to say I am not taking a paycut.......Anyways, you are 100% right. I am so excited to watch this draft and see who will be getting handed the rock this year.

If the blocking/scheme doesn't get any better it don't matter who have at RB. They are not going to succeed.
