Yeah. He's never really shown any real effectiveness in anything other than returning. Why deem him "too important" to return now? Kickoff return position is worthless. There is no need in having Mariani and L Washington on roster.

And to JCB: Mariani sucks as a receiver. He is a returner, plain and simple. He's been given 2 free years in the league, but the time of reckoning has come for him. He's been replaced with someone who is more offensively gifted. He's going to have to really impress.

We're currently at 88 players, so yes we will definitely add someone, 2 in fact, might be a WR but I dont see much need.

As we stand now we have 12 WR's on the roster, we normally only keep 6. With Brian Robiskie coming on I just dont see much need for another WR. Also remember McCluster will see some work in the slot, so thats almost 13 WR's we already have.

We need a kicker. Why not sign Bironas to a 1 yr deal if we can't find anything better. Bet he plays for cheap!

I would say we take a look at as many kickers as we can if we are picking one without NFL experience.

I would agree with that, But I think Bironas is only going downhill. Better him to go out like he did, then to embarrass himself. The guy can't hardly kick a touchback anymore, even with the moved up kickoff line.

He still did a good job on FGs, but his range and accuracy seems to be slipping. he isn't automatic like he used to be. IMO, he would be a last resort, if anyone else we have fails misierably. There are only spots for 32 kickers in the NFL... And there are a lot of good candidates out there. even the 32nd best kicker on the planet is not too shabby.

Probably with the emergence of Alshon Jeffrey and Brandon Marshall. He would still be a good no.4 option here and able to play the slot and let Wright move outside for some plays. Gives us another good dynamic.

Sounds like the Browns are signing all the available wide receivers. Rotoworld is saying they signed Bennett and Austin today.
