Well, off the top of my head... The Houston Texans. They actually named the team after the state, and they have the lone star in the logo.

Cowboys, Canadians, 76ers, Pistons, Nuggets, Trail Blazers, Phillies, Yankees.

All those names/logos incorporate pride in their state or location.

We have our state animal as a mascot and the tri stars in our logo. That is on par as much state/city pride as any other pro sports team.

There are no wolverines in Michigan. Even though it is the state animal. The lion is an English symbol too............ No lions there either :p

You aren't really getting what I am saying.

All those teams, take the history of the state/city and work with it. We took the state flag, put it in flames, and slapped it on a helmet. You are telling me with the name 'Titans' thats the best logo we could come up with?

If you look at our team, on the outside looking in, where the **** are these Titans? Where are they in the stadium? We get a guy doing wheelies in a raccoon suit and a sword that really doesn't have anything to do with titans.

I was pulling for the name "Copperheads" when the name was changed. Was not a big fan of "Titans" but what can you do.

I prefer to think of us as the Nashville Titans. The rest of TN sucks for the most part.

And the support outside of middle TN sucks so those people can all go suck a D.

Knoxville people hate Nashville for the most part. Just throwing that out there. And I'm sure there are plenty of others in the state that feel the same.

The dip spittin' banjo totin' hillbillies of the boondocks can't handle Nashville - other than the stupid country music that we offer.

Nashville is an outlier in TN. It is vastly different from all other cities in the state - in a good way. East TN folks treat Nashville as if it is a different country altogether... I've heard this expression multiple times when I have mentioned I'm from Nashville.

When you think of stereotypes of TN that's the majority of the rest of the state - not that there aren't normal looking people in other TN cities. I just seriously hate the other cities outside of middle TN.

When I'm done with school there is 0% chance I live in this state if it is not Nashville, Brentwood, or Franklin. I would say the Boro is fine (in some areas), but literally every time I cross into Rutherford county cops are on my ass wanting to pull me over... the only two times I've ever been pulled over in my life happened in the Boro, and I go there maybe once a year. Maybe.
