Would be a nice name for a cross dressing burlesque show.

It bothers me too. What made me ask was everything I saw on Facebook on Memorial Day. I might see one "support our troops" post in a given week, but of course, since it's Memorial Day everyone needs to "show their support." Saying/typing something takes all of 10 seconds and then people go back to their lives and not caring. Most of the it comes off as very disingenuous, to me anyway.

I was never in the military but that makes me roll my eyes too. Same way when X actor or X musician dies all of a sudden he/she was everyone's all-time favorite and they are just "devastated".

Social media is the ultimate tool for attention seeking bandwagoners.

Amy Winehouse is the ultimate example. I don't how many arguments I got in to on Facebook because I had the balls to post on every status that she was a no-talent junkie, not the latest great musician who died at 27.

I mean I have no problem if someone goes "X entertainer died. That sucks." But don't act like you were their #1 fan and your week is ruined because they died. When someone like Michael Jackson dies that type of response is somewhat understandable. But when it's DJ A.M. or freaking Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince, not so much.
