Now that the calendar has turned to June, we are less than two months away from training camps openings across the league.

For the most part, teams have signed the majority of their draft picks, added and subtracted free agents and given extensions to players already on the roster. It’s largely shaped the financial situations for teams as the season continues to approach.

With that in mind, it’s time to take another look at available cap space for the 32 teams across the league.

While teams can employ up to 90 players during the offseason, the salary cap is currently calculated by using only the top 51 most expensive contracts on a roster. That changes for the regular season as all players on the active roster, practice squad and injured reserve count against the cap.

The NFL Players Association keeps a database of projected salary cap space for each team in the league. While the numbers from the NFLPA and the official numbers from the league routinely differ, it’s still a good gauge of where teams currently stand.

The Jacksonville Jaguars currently have the most cap space available in the league with over $28 million in available room. Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers have the least amount of cap room with under $200,000 available. The current numbers available are accurate as 10:30 p.m ET.

Without further ado, the list of cap space is below ranked from most cap space to the least.

    Jacksonville Jaguars: $28,451,212
    Cleveland Browns: $25,154,765

That's a lot of money that could have been used to bring in a real Free Agent. Hopefully we at least lock up guys like Casey and Wright long term this year.

Like who name one. I must've explained how the modern nfl salary cap works to you 5 times now and you still whine about every chance you get and still don't understand it.

Hurry the **** up climate change cause I don't know if I can handle this level of stupidity

Roos, Washington, Kern, Ayers, Casey, Morgan and Locker (among others) are all free agents at the end of the 2014 season.

It gives the Titans flexibility to lock some of these guys up during the season. Also, still have rookies to sign and I expect we'll see a couple of more moves before camp opens.

Right now, Casey is the only FA of ours that I would even contemplate on beginning the extension process for.

I would wait and see how Casey actually fits into Horton's new system before re-upping him.

I know the past few years the new CBA allowed you to carry cap space over into the next yr. I thought that it was only like that for the first 2 years of the CBA. Which would mean that we can't carry over any cap space this year. Does anyone know for sure about the details of that aspect of the CBA?

Pending on how well Taylor Lewan catches on, we could even end up with an extra $6M to add to the cap by cutting Roos. Not that I expect that to happen, but it could.

Nah, no point in cutting him this year. Will not help since it is in the last year.

After camp starts I can see the Titans looking at trying an extension for some of those guys. Washington would be a good candidate. He is not too old, is a good leader and versatile. Kern is another guy who could get an extension. Would be nice to see Casey get one but he will likely want to wait until after the season.

Take your pick. Our offseason moves have been questionable at BEST, so forgive me for having an open mind. We have a ton of guys to lock up this offseason, so that might be their saving grace.

It's cute how you keep bringing other topics into our disagreements (while butchering my point of view). Not that you're worth more than a minute of my time anyway though.
