Well apparently the sequel is coming in 2016.

I didn't even realize it had been green lit yet.

I think Prometheus will be better received after the sequel answers more questions.

Scott hinted at a religious twist in the sequel.

There are theories that the engineers were coming back to wipe us out after we stopped worshipping them as gods with the rise of Christianity and that even Christ was an alien of some type.

    That should go over well...

Dude... It was bad. And I'm a Seth Rogen fan. Maybe it wasn't nearly as bad as I described, but it was bad. Everything was forced, and they tried so hard to be funny that it just didn't work for me the majority of the time. I honestly thought it was on par with Bad Teacher - which was, unarguably, god a awful.

If it's ever on TV and I'm doing nothing, I'll watch it again.

You don't like Get Him to the Greek? Damn... What about Forgetting Sarah Marshall? I Love You, Man?

It's not...and the ending let us know that when Naomi Rapace's character flies off in one of the bombers to chase the engineers down. But that's irrelevant because it was senseless, standalone or not. It ignored a lot of basic premises in the storytelling which -in any other film- would be harshly reprimanded for insulting the audience. The biggest bummer is that Ridley Scott let it happen when he knows better.

The movie has a theme, and that's fine (life must be sacrificed to perpetuate life); but the story was so badly told that it's been postulated that Scott himself ghostwrote a glowing review of the movie and it's theme on the internet because he realized that it made no sense and nobody would understand it. I was very excited about seeing it and it had the exact same effect as Lucas's aforementioned Episode I. I sat there saying, "what the...wait, didn't he?....huh?...why would?....how did?....why doesn't?....." for the entire film. It made no sense in any way, from why would anyone jump on this mission with zero information about it to how the hell does an anthropologist know how to fly a bomber that takes multiple drivers to navigate. It was extremely frustrating to watch, and no, I didn't go in expecting it to be "Alien".

I think you're in the minority on this one.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall is probably my favorite comedy.

Get Him to the Greek was nothing but a few names on a screen... nothing at all happening there. When Puff Daddy is the funniest person in your movie... you've got major problems calling yourself a comedy.

I Love You Man is also great.

I've had two people tell me I'm insane for hating Neighbors too, so Idk.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I Love You, Man are easily my favorites of the millennium. Comedies of the 90's... Office Space, no doubt. Never gets old - well, my age group tends to not like it that much because they don't understand that type of humor. #myagegroupmadesoljaboyandlilwaynerich

I don't throw Get Him to the Greek in the mix with those in terms of my favorites, but I think it's pretty damn funny. I think Jonah Hill being just so fat in that movie gets me every time.

EDIT: Almost forgot about Hot Rod and Borat, but those aren't really typical films.

I think Neighbors looks pretty terrible but I still plan on checking it out sometime.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I Love You Man are awesome and two of the best comedies of recent years. Went into both of them not really expecting much and was blown away. And both have tons of rewatch value.

Get Him to the Greek I thought was really funny but nowhere near the level of FSM or ILYM.

Lot of uppidity arrogance in that post. Just maybe you are too much of ******* lemming and people with some intelligence are waking up too the crap entertainment industry shoves at the brain dead masses.

Or I guess somehow bitching about bitching puts you above the people doing the bitching?

Hot Rod shares the #1 spot with FSM for me. Can't decide between the 2 just because they're so different.

I've probably watched Hot Rod more than any other movie.
