When I was young boy, I woke up one night and looked at the window adjacent to my bed. There was the black silhouette of someone standing at the window looking out. It turned toward me and faded away. I could not say anything or move. Never happened again.

When I was a young boy I played the silver ball. From Soho down to Brighton I must have played them all. I've never seen anything like him in any amusement hall.
That deaf dumb and blind kid sure plays a mean pinball.

I've never been "paralyzed", but I wake up to hallucinations sometimes and it sends me into a fight or flight panic mode. One time I tried to get out of my room because I saw snakes everywhere. It was dark and I couldn't find the doorknob. So I tried to break my door down. After a few seconds of that, I figured out how stupid this was and went back to bed. My roommate thought someone was trying to break into the house.

Those will happen once every few months, and then will happen maybe three times in a week.

    It gets pretty exhausting sometimes.

Man lucid dreams are awesome once you realize that you're aware of them.

    Sleep paralysis for sure.

If there was a way to harness and control that experience. It would be biological augmented reality. The possibilities...

Lucid dreaming at will that you could control or have programed for you.

There's the flip side to those as well. I have had lucid dreams were I was well aware, but could do nothing to end the dream or wake up. When I woke up, it was way worse than the experience after a falling nightmare.
