I'm not sure how I feel about this draft just yet...but I'm also taking a time will tell approach so there's that.

We don't have a 4th and Bell and some other safeties were already gone so maybe they wanted to get that pick out of the way with no 4th rounder.

Yeah that't explains a lot because you have to often draft ahead of your needs. But either way if players becomes starters and perform well where they get drafted becomes less of a factor.

So I'm hoping this kid does grow into a reliable starter in his career.

You know how you can prevent bombs from beating your secondary?

    1) have a healthy secondary back and not start BW Webb

    2) have a pass rush. Dodd helps with that and especially with Morgan coming off injury and Orakpo being injury prone.

Don't give the QB enough time to throw it deep and we won't get beat as much. Stay calm guys this draft actually addressed needs outside of the Henry pick and we snagged some of the best available too.

Did you guys hear he applied at the Nissan plant before the Titans drafted him? I thought that was weird, did he not expect to get drafted?

Dodd can become one of the best all around edge players in this draft. Some people had him going before Lawson and had him as a top 15 pick. Titans fans would have flipped it any of the other top 15 players fell to us. Most people don't like it because they've never seen him play and weren't thinking he would even be there at 33.

Johnson is considered the best NT prospect by some in this class. How does that not excite people? Too many had a hard on for Robinson, but there's a reason he fell that far in the draft! Johnson plays hard and put up good numbers as a DT. He is versatile and allows us to move guys around on the line.

Henry makes sense for our future because DeMarco is only going to be here a few years anyway.

Byard has some of the best ball skills in this class and can help us out at safety. If we have a safety who can play centerfield and a pass rush that kills the QB... Sounds like 2008 all over again. People on here need to relax we had a really good 2nd day of this draft.

Like the way you put together your response kind sir...I for one am always looking for the positive and different perspective. The only thing I haven't been able to wrap my head around is why the heck would we hire a Coach with the name Mularkey!

Outside of that I've been cautiously optimistic lol

He will play during our sub packages especially on 3rd down.

At the very worst he will cover punts something we suck at ever so much.

Yeah I try to block out the fact that Mularkey is the coach right now, but maybe Mariota can just have so much talent around him it won't matter.
